@antonioguterres For two years you have failed to take any steps to stop the hate speech against Jews. You’ve doubled down on anti-Israel hate speech and irresponsibly blurred the line between criticism and hate speech. The Jewish community doesn’t need your crocodile tears today.
My heart goes out to the families of all those murdered in this horrific act of evil. May their memories be blessed and all those injured recover fully.
My deepest gratitude also to all those who have enquired how I am and the incredible doctors & first responders. Thank you! 🙏
Every child in Gaza, Tel Aviv, or Tehran deserves to live in safety.
Every mother in Israel, Palestine, or Iran deserves to know her child will grow up to live a good life.
We demand what should be self-evident, nothing less:
Life. Freedom. Justice. Peace. Security.
Only agreements save lives, and only tyrants believe war will save them.
I’m a trauma psychologist. I came to Israel to help survivors. I’ve treated Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Muslims, Bedouins and Druze. I treat the wounded — not the politics.
Yet when I shared what it’s like to run to bomb shelters under missile fire, dozens didn’t just disagree — they mocked, gloated, and told me I “deserve” to suffer, all while cloaking their cruelty in moral language.
These posts don’t personally hurt me — because I know they’re not about me. But as a psychologist, I think it’s worth explaining what I see.
They aren’t responding to a person. They’re responding to a projection — a caricature of “The Israeli,” “The Colonizer,” or “The Baby Killer.” They need somewhere to put their rage and shame, and someone to punish. That’s why they project atrocities onto me — not because of who I am, but because cruelty requires justification.
And that justification becomes a performance of virtue. This is sadism disguised as righteousness — the psychological pleasure of imagining someone suffer, while pretending it’s justice.
To a lesser degree, it mirrors the same dynamic we saw on October 7, when Hamas militants filmed themselves gleefully mutilating civilians. The mechanism is the same: dehumanize through projection, then revel in the pain as if it’s earned.
Disturbingly, the Palestinian cause — which deserves serious moral advocates — has attracted too many people working out their own psychological wounds by glorifying cruelty. The Palestinian patients I’ve treated deserve better than supporters who feed off hatred and revenge fantasies.
What these people don’t realize is that every time they post their sadism wrapped in false virtue, they harm the very cause they claim to support. And many don’t care — because it was never about the cause. It was about emotional release.
They don’t hurt me. But they do hurt the Palestinians they pretend to care about — people who are trying to build a better life and a future, without being used as symbols for someone else’s twisted attempts to resolve their shame.
I am so saddened by this post . This mocking voice ‘bad thing’ of October 7 that Dawn ( who I revere by the way) appears ro be mocking involved the most horrific terrorist attack involving rape sexual violence burning alive child mutilation and taking of civilian hostages . Why would Dawn seem to deny that which has affected so many of us personally in the most painful way possible. I can mourn the horrors of the war in Gaza whilst also remembering the horrors of what started it . Is this how most of our industry feels now- Oct 7 was a ‘little thing ‘? NO!
Trying to murder a Jewish governor and his family, executing two young people outside a Jewish museum, and setting elderly Holocaust survivors on fire will not free Palestine.
Spread the word.
Let’s be clear about something: threatening the people of Gaza, hundreds of whom have been mercilessly killed by Israeli bombardment, including verifiably dozens of little children, with total ruin and death if they don’t somehow release the hostages and get rid of Hamas, a task that the mighty IDF itself hasn’t been able to do, is criminal and a form of reckless endangerment. This is true even as one holds Hamas, the despicable terrorist, ultimately responsible for where things are. How did the group imagine that somehow, Netanyahu and Trump would allow the Islamist organization to remain in power in the Strip after all that it had done? Still, Katz's message is extremely alarming and dangerous. Gaza is being hammered from the air, land, and sea - and it's not just Hamas who's paying the price!
@afalkhatib@academic_la Despondent. I heard planes but I didn’t believe what I was hearing. I appreciate that the hostage situation was stuck but this is not the way. If I still believed in anything I would pray for us all 💔🖤

We will never forget Hamas' livestream of the murderous torture of the Idan family on 7/10
Shooting their teenage daughter in the head, taunting the family crying over her corpse. Gleefully abducting Tsachi.
All while praising Allah.
Hamas supporters are evil and inhumane.
We are just mid flight to Israel and have had the news we most dreaded. We are devastated. Heartbroken. Bereft.
Our family have issued the following statement:
—
Our family has received with great sadness Hamas's announcement that our beloved Tsachi is no longer alive and that his body will be returned to Israel during the night.
We are still waiting for the much-needed certainty, which we can only receive after his arrival in Israel and after all necessary examinations are conducted by the authorized state authorities, while maintaining the privacy of Tsachi and his family.
Since Tsachi was abducted, we received several signs of life, and in the previous deal last November, Tsachi was alive and expected to be released.
We appreciate the tremendous love and support we are receiving from the citizens of Israel, the media, and the Nahal Oz community.
During these difficult hours, we ask that our privacy be respected.
We will provide updates after receiving details from authorized officials of the State of Israel.
Shiri was kidnapped and murdered.
Her baby boys, Ariel and Kfir, were strangled and mutilated.
AP should never live down the shame of whitewashing their murders.
Years ago I took a sick kid to a walk-in clinic while visiting family in UK. The cold hostility from staff when they discovered we lived in Israel was tangible.
At the time I was chided for being “paranoid”
This pair of medics don’t hold back: How many more feel/act the same?
“The NSW Health Department has called in police and launched an urgent investigation into social media footage appearing to show two hospital workers from Bankstown Hospital bragging about killing and refusing to treat Israeli patients.” https://t.co/KURiNwswhW
