In 1942, C.S. Lewis predicted a future dystopia where:

-Education is leveled to a mediocre state to avoid hurt feelings
-The middle class is hollowed out, removing the primary champions of private excellence
-"Avoiding trauma" becomes the excuse to stop pushing students to their full potential

The obsession with perfect equality ends up destroying human greatness — and it’s fueled by state education, where schools become more like nurseries than academic institutions.

Seems like Lewis’s dystopia is already here.

Helen Andrews made a really uncomfortable point: When women get artificial advantages and promotions at work, it doesn’t just affect men, it affects other women too.

She’s currently at home with her three young kids in her “leaning out” phase, which she loves. But she can only do that because her husband has a strong full-time job. She argues that when men are passed over for promotions due to diversity rules, their wives often can’t afford to stay home with their own kids.

She also noted that women hold about two-thirds of all student debt, much of which never gets repaid, especially in nonprofits with forgiveness programs. Taxpayers end up subsidizing it.

It’s one of those ripple effects people don’t talk about enough. Policies meant to help one group can quietly hurt others in ways we don’t always see.

True fairness in the workplace and family life might require looking at the whole picture, not just one side of the equation.

🇸🇮 BREAKING: Slovenia's newly elected right-wing Prime Minister, Janez Janša, removed the Palestinian flag from the government building immediately after he assumed power.

The Palestinian flag was taken down roughly 20 minutes after his new right-wing government was confirmed by parliament.

Their new Prime Minister, @JJansaSDS, is a close ally of Donald Trump and a strong supporter of Israel. He used this swift move to signal a total reversal of Slovenia's foreign policy.

The Palestinian flag had been flying on the government facade for two years and was originally raised under former left-wing Prime Minister Robert Golob, who recognized Palestinian statehood.

Now the Slovenian government building only flies the flags of Slovenia, Ukraine, and the European Union.

Šī daļēji ir atbilde uz jautājumu, kāpēc nekādi nemazinās bērnu mentālo problēmu rādītāji.
Privātie uzņēmumi un NVO saņem miljonu pasūtījumus no valsts, lai "uzlabotu" bērnu mentālo veselību.
Bet pasūtījums no valsts ir pati pakalpojuma sniegšana, nevis kāds uzlabojums.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynykova scored her first-ever win over a russian opponent at Roland Garros and then openly spoke about double standards in WTA.

“Many russian athletes actively participate in propaganda, play in Gazprom-linked tournaments, and openly support Putin,” she said after the match.

Oliynykova also revealed that she had been pressured by the WTA for months over her public statements about russian players and the war. According to her, officials demanded she stop mentioning certain athletes by name and threatened her with fines and even disqualification.
