BREAKING: FINAL CAPITULATION! Trump ABANDONS his bid to claw back E. Jean Carroll’s $5.6 million payout after the court dismisses his appeal WITH PREJUDICE.

E. Jean Carroll has accomplished what practically no other person involved in litigation with Donald Trump has ever been able to do: finally get him to give up on fighting the court’s judgment.

After years of stalling, appealing, and demanding the impossible, Trump just quietly dropped his final legal fight against the $5.6 million he owes Carroll, and this time, he can never bring it back.

Trump agreed to dismiss his appeal "with prejudice," meaning the case is over for good, according to a September 25th order from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.

He also abandoned his bizarre demand that Carroll RETURN the money she'd already legally won. New York Daily News reporter Molly Crane-Newman called it a genuine first: "In what I believe is a first for my eyes, Trump withdraws his appeal fighting the payout of $5M in damages to E. Jean Carroll."

Let's remember exactly what this money represents. A 2023 jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s and for defaming her afterward, awarding her $5 million.

After the Supreme Court refused to even hear Trump's appeal back in June, U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan ordered the money finally released in July, delivering one of the more satisfying judicial smackdowns in recent memory: "In the last analysis, defendant has been stalling this case for years. It is time for him to 'do equity' and pay the judgment."

Trump's team, naturally, still couldn't resist framing this as victimhood, releasing a statement calling it part of "Witch Hunts, including the Democrat-funded travesty of the Carroll Hoaxes," even as they were simultaneously agreeing to permanently drop the fight. Trump's lawyers had already sent $5,625,005.48, judgment plus interest, straight to Carroll's legal team back in July.

Trump kept trying anyway, asking the appeals court in July to either block the payout entirely or force Carroll to give the money back, arguing she'd publicly stated her intent to donate it and had even started a foundation to distribute the funds. The court finally forced his hand, ordering him earlier this month to declare whether his motion was moot. He folded a week before that deadline.

Of course, this isn't fully over. Trump is still separately asking the Supreme Court to take up his appeal of a much larger $83.3 million defamation verdict from a different jury, a request the justices are expected to consider this fall.

But for now, on this particular case, after years of delay tactics and legal gymnastics, Trump finally did something that must have had him stewing in anger and denial: he simply paid what he owed.

Joanna Howe might be an anti-abortionist crusader, but she is also the spreader of misinformation, disinformation, lies and has allegedly offered dangerous and harmful medical advice to people while inciting violence against others who disagree with her views. Howe is also funded by vested interests well enough to spend a motza to influence an election process online and has physically harassed MPs and election candidates. Howe has also tried to pass off newborn sugar gliders as aborted foetuses.

I’m pretty sure I’m not the one who is a “nut job”, “evil” or facilitating a lack of intelligence. By producing the facts rather than fiction I am demonstrating critical thinking skills that might have bypassed the Queen of propaganda here and protagonists-R-Us completely.

On further unpacking I find the Queen of opportunistic ranting is not concerned about the deaths of human beings in any other circumstance - apart from the immediate and often imagined blasphemy.

What about the deaths of millions of innocent people worldwide after they are born - via wars, genocide, starvation, m*rder, domestic violence, accidents, illnesses and neglect?

If we are going to be outraged by a half-truth regarding abortion, primarily to pack attack and use it for political leverage, let’s not forget the suffering and deaths of the many who are born into a world and a collective mindset that may not necessarily value ALL human life..

.. or you just become a mindless hypocrite.

Remember that DNA test that Pauline Hanson had back in 2007 that showed her heritage to be 9% Middle Eastern, 32% Italian, Greek or Turkish and 59% Northern European?

Her response was interesting. She said she was “amazed” and “mystified” and appeared flustered, making references to “r*ping and pillaging” that “down the track eventuated from some war”

Even more interesting, she said “just because I have 9% Middle Eastern in me, this girl here is 100% Australian”.

Hanson denies a number of things. In fact she is deliberately ignorant of the historical facts behind immigration.

The only 100% Australian claim here goes to Indigenous people, because not only were they were here when this place was proclaimed “Australia”, they had a long and rich cultural history here that goes back over 60,000 years - but even they immigrated here at some point in the distant past.

Hanson misses the point via the evidence that her DNA test has shown her. We are all for the most part “bitzers” and not 100% of anything.

Immigration is normal - and has been so for many thousands of years. Our genus “homo” is approximately 2.8 million years old and we’ve moved around. A lot. Our species- Homo sapiens - emerged in Africa approximately 300,000 years ago. Homo sapiens have been migrating for approximately 180,000 to 220,000 years. A major global migration wave occurred around 70,000 - 50,000 years ago - although intermittent migration had been generally going on for much longer.

-Australia/Sehul were likely settled around 65,000 - 70,000 years ago via maritime crossings.
-Europe was settled broadly around 40,000 years ago.
-The Americas were peopled via the Bering Land Bridge around 15,000 to 20,000 years ago during the last ice age, but there is evidence to suggest migration occurred much earlier than that.

During the age of the Roman Empire, there were massive movements of people - both through internal integration and external pressures that ultimately RESHAPED Europe.

Rome was actually a multicultural capital and acted as a melting pot of over one million people. There was also assimilation through treaties and the extensions of universal citizenship.

So, what made a true Roman? It certainly didn’t border on heritage. It was due to immigration, assimilation and extensions of universal citizenship. Not just because they were actually all born in Rome.

Later on in the Western Roman era, from around 300 to 600 AD, large-scale tribal migrations (Goths, Franks, Vandals and Anglo Saxons) pressed against and crossed Roman borders. Many ultimately stayed there and mixed with Roman citizens. The westward movement of the Huns from Asia during climate upheavals pushed 100s of thousands of people into Roman territory.

Using Rome as an example - because there are many more examples of mass numbers of immigration throughout the ancient and modern world, we might come to see this planet as a giant melting pot of human existence that is not necessarily tied to one region, one population, or one particular skin colour.

I’m not surprised that Hanson has such a mixed heritage. I would be more surprised if she didn’t.

For her to claim she is 100% Australian with her proven DNA heritage puts her in the same category of every single immigrant who has come to this country and gained their citizenship. They, too, are 100% Australian regardless of their cultural background and their skin colour - and every single one of us who was born here.

DNA is a fascinating and factual record of where we actually come from. The history of migration is equally as fascinating.

If Hanson would open her mind she would become more tolerant- but she is too focused on creating division & the fear of others to build her notoriety. She’s not interested in the truth or FACTS.

.. but there is no denying the FACTS.

There have been many articles regarding the lackadaisical infrastructure of Hanson’s One Nation Party & the dubious quality of past MPs, past candidates & current ON MPs. I have written about the history of certain individuals related to ON, as has The Saturday Paper & now the Guardian.

Why write this stuff? Because it’s historical fact & gives us an insight into the inner workings - or nonworkings of One Nation, the collective mindset of participants & the questionable values of those in charge of the party.

Facts & data. Backed up, unlike ON AI online bot rage baiting. If anyone worth their salt & credibility with an ounce of critical thinking skills wants to take it seriously, we should be alarmed at the prospect of a dumb-nation Gina-tangerine dream materialising within cooee of the corridors of power in this country.

The Guardian here writes about the timeline of One Nation instability.

“More than half of the One Nation MPs elected to state and federal parliaments have left the party before the end of their term - with 28 of the 51 people elected under Pauline Hanson’s banner either resigning midterm or expelled”.

That’s not only a party infrastructure & management problem, that’s a people problem.

What’s wrong with a party who can’t hold onto its people, with an insurmountable number of those people with their own issues & dubious qualities. Is that a party that is remotely capable of governance & creating credible policy to attempt to govern a nation for everyone? So far their track record shows that they are merely interested in power for the perks - & are more than willing to be bankrolled by a billionaire to receive more perks in a likely quid pro quo arrangement of mutual benefit.

FACT.

-All 11 ON MPs elected in the 1998 QLD election resigned or left the party. Antony Green has a separate list on his summary of ON representation.
-David Oldfield, ON cofounder, is expelled from the party.
-All 3 WA ON MLCs leave the party in 2004.
-Rosa Lee Long loses her seat in 2009 QLD election. She was so quiet most of the time we didn’t know she was there. Until she wasn’t.
-Between 2009 & 2015 ON has no elected representatives nationally.
-Hanson after saying she was finished with politics after trying unsuccessfully to get back into politics several times - finally hits the Senate jackpot in 2016.
-Malcom Roberts is also elected in 2016 & then is subsequently disqualified.
-Fraser Anning takes Malcolm’s place & leaves ON 3 days later.
-In 2019 Mark Latham was elected for ON into the NSW Upper House.
-Latham resigned from ON in 2023 and was sacked as ON party leader by Hanson in 2023.
-Malcolm Roberts gets lucky & gets back into the Senate gravy train in 2019.
-Tania Mihailuk resigned from ON in 2024. She was the last ON MP in NSW.
-Rod Cullerton, ON WA senator quit ON in 2016, “citing “un-Australian behaviour”.
-SA MLC Sarah Game resigned from ON in 2025 citing “problems with the way the party’s brand was perceived”.
-Brian Burston was elected into Fed senate in 2016. After a dispute with Hanson he resigned & joined UAP. He was voted out in 2019.
-Rod Roberts, ON MP elected to NSW Upper House in 2027, resigned from ON in 2023. He is now an Independent.

This doesn’t include the WA ON defections, departures and defeats over the years, plus the QLD defection from LNP to ON by Steve Dickson - who was subsequently defeated. The story of QLD ON Stephen Andrew who was elected in 2017 is a complicated and drawn-out saga worth looking up.

I’ve likely missed a few. There are too many to mention - and then there’s the line up of questionable candidates, which I have linked here from a previous post.

This is not misinformation, this is all FACT. Something that I can guarantee One Nation and their sycophants rarely deal in.

To know a party historically is to know what we would be in for in the future. Pay attention to it.
