Modern pharmacy is a profession predominantly comprised of women. That’s why it has persevered despite so many challenges. In my experience women find a way. They do what needs to be done, juggling a myriad of obligations both at work and home, oftentimes with no credit. From all of us at The Accidental Pharmacist here’s wishing everyone a well deserved Happy International Women’s Day!

I would be remiss if I didn’t send a special ‘I thank God every day for you.’ to my lady pharmacist superhero and the love of my life, Mare. What you did by going on national television in defense of pharmacists and technicians not only took enormous courage it sparked others to demand better. Two years later you are still at Walgreens making it happen day after day. You’ve trained an entire district’s worth of RPh managers and techs to help them recover from the mass exodus. Between vaccinations, COVID testing, combating shadow quotas to keep your team from losing hours, to running our house like a well oiled machine I marvel at it all.
There was no nomination or fancy award that came with your life and all the sacrifices you’ve made but please know this. You have my utmost respect and unwavering love. ~ Shane

yesterday i went to pick up a prescription at walgreens and they said it’d be $130 *with* insurance, so i pulled up a coupon from GoodRx and paid…$6.50.

why is that extra step necessary? if i’m insured, why do you i need a random-ass website to get involved? wtf is this system
