Last night I downloaded @RyanHoliday's book Discipline is Destiny: The power of self control. I mean, if I am paying for #Audible I might as well use it. Looking forward to diving in. A physical book is my most preferred way to read a book but #audiobooks fits my life right now.

I saw Ava Duvernays new film Origins and it took me out! I didn't know I needed to bring tissue. I salute her highly for her work bringing Isabela Wilkerson's book Caste to life on the screen. I hope to work with @AvaDuVernay one day, a dream come true.💜🎬 #Origin #TIFF2023

Thank you to all that have showed up and cared for us in anyway you were able to...we are still holding down a transitional spot with high rent prices but it is what it is until it changes and it will. The housing journey continues...

...not only can contents be replaced but we were forced to let go of "stuff" we truly didn't need. It's also really cool to see we don't need alot 2 live here... just the essentials. I do like having "things" but acquiring things have a whole new meaning for me and I like that.

So much to be grateful for! I truly mean this...When something like a fire taking your home and your posessions, you are left with yourself and a renewed sense of what really matters. #Gratitude #safety

Today marks 1 year since the fire that took our home of 13yrs. They still don't know the cause and it all just seems a little weird, but I am grateful we are on the better side of the devastation and our bodies are intact, we have each other and we are in a safe space.
