@xwanyex You people don’t seem to like America or hold any American values. I’m baffled as to what you think you’re trying to defend. Do you think the framers just kinda didn’t mean it when they wrote the first amendment?
@FrankHamilktcc@AriDrennen I just sincerely don’t think that “maybe there are some potential fairness and safety issues that could happen with trans girls playing competitive sports with cis girls” is unfathomably hateful
@DScottDorgan@maggiemoda When you people read the phrase “congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” do your eyes just glaze over or something
@varadmehta What part of “Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech” indicates that it doesn’t apply to non citizens who are in the US legally?
@wifiejwn38@janecoaston@mattyglesias Similarly, handing a loaded gun to a violent sociopath doesn't really change that much, as opposed to shooting somebody in cold blood which would have strong effects because of the action itself.
@lakyop29255@ABorlandFan88 The cost of rejection is essentially zero and the potential upside of not being rejected is huge. Growth mindset is recognizing that failure is nothing but a learning opportunity
@sappholives83 On some level I can understand women feeling uncomfortable with trans women using their bathrooms. But neither I or any man I know would reasonably feel threatened by these people pissing and shitting next to us. Its just not the same.
@dilanesper@dhaaruni Nah because abolishing the senate would make the government more efficient and representative of the people it's supposed to be representing and is the obviously correct thing to do. Repealing the 19th would make the government illegitimate.
