Sono amareggiato di informarvi che purtroppo non potrò partecipare ai Giochi Olimpici di Parigi.

Dopo una buona settimana di allenamento sulla terra ho cominciato a non sentirmi bene. Ho trascorso un paio di giorni a riposo ed in visita il medico ha riscontrato una tonsillite e mi ha fortemente sconsigliato di giocare.

Perdermi i Giochi è una grandissima delusione visto che era uno dei miei obiettievi principali per questa stagione. Non vedevo l'ora di avere l'onore di rappresentare il mio paese in questo evento importantissimo.

Un grande in bocca al lupo a tutti gli atleti italiani che supporterò da casa.

He's expected to depart on Thursday, the day of the draw.
