...the day before America's 250th birthday.

This is the 2ND TIME they have been ripped down with the grommets ripped out and the flags were shredded at the seams.

Lance Corporal William Joseph Donovan Jr. earned TWO Purple Hearts in Afghanistan for for working with a team clearing roads of improvised explosive devices in Helmand province.

Don't worry... the community has already replaced the flags and they say no matter what, they will ALWAYS make sure the American flags fly on his bridge.

A family put up an American Flag to celebrate America’s 250th 4th of July Celebration in Detroit, Michigan

A man with a blow torch came in the middle of the night and set it on fire. Police need help locating the man in the video caught on security camera footage

He almost burned their house down. Luckily someone with a blow horn alerted the homeowners who woke up and used a fire extinguisher on the growing flames

“I look out the window and the whole front of his house is lit up orange, and then I noticed it's all on fire — it was just fire everywhere”

“Police and arson investigators are on the case, but take another look at the guy who started the fire and let law enforcement know if you know who he is.

I couldn't believe somebody would do something like that, but luckily they were stupid and we've got their face”

This guy needs to be deported. If he’s a citizen, he should be denaturalized and deported. We need to stop putting up with this

...in fact, for the last 10 years, he has interviewed World War 2 veterans EVERY SINGLE DAY

He started as a teenager, ditching school to ride his BIKE to the local retirement home, walking up to the front desk and asking to, "meet some World War II heroes."

His name is Rishi Sharma.

He's crossed all 50 states and half the world.

He's slept in his car and lived on gas-station food to afford it.

He asks these men for hours of their memories, and then he hands the entire recording to their families...

...FOR FREE

So that 200 years from now, a great-great-grandchild will know not just their hero's name, but how he laughed, how he cried, and what he sacrificed.

Rishi has no military family, his parents immigrated here from India.

He does it out of pure gratitude.

In his words:

"My parents were given the opportunity to immigrate and raise a family because of veterans like these. It's a debt of love I'll spend my entire life trying to repay..."

As one 100-year-old Marine who stormed Iwo Jima told him, remembering the flag going up:

"The hair on my arms still stands up when I think about how beautiful it was."

THAT is America.

250 years of ordinary people doing extraordinary things...
