@FDT4EVUR I’ve been a 12 since Year One, and while I did like Russ a lot, that first clip you show in this vid (sweet deep ball game winner against GB) was preceded by 4 terrible INTs, and the SEA D and special teams keeping them in it until Magic Russ shows in at the end of game
@FDT4EVUR *shows up
And I can think of at least 30+ games that went just like that, which pretty much sums up his tenure in SEA: When the roster was absolutely loaded, Russ played like a legend. But when he needed to carry the team on his shoulders, he could do it less then half the time.
@Bitcoin_Fireman@FieldGulls The guy is a great coach, AND he (A) would only be around for 5 years, max, bc that’s how he rolls, due to the aforementioned “issues,” and (B) he’s been a coaching rival of Seattle-based teams for most of his career, so it just seems like a weird fit to most people.
@gbellseattle@thenewstribune This video actually has me hyped … practicing against Lockett — still one of the shiftiest WR in the league — is absolutely going to make DW a better CB. Opposite Woolen, SEA has another LOB in the makings
@michaelharriot Black people need to stop thinking that “drinking dirty water” or “drinking poison” are our only two choices. Until we unlocked from this binary of two (and only two) viable political parties, this is a convo this will keep being circular.
@pwdrblueblood 7 out of 10 of these are 100% his fault, as they’re all either just bad throws, poorly placed, or into double/triple coverage. Honestly, this is evidence that he’s a great QB, as only 7 bad picks over the course of an entire season is IMO pretty dang good.
