@evan7257@HoustonChron 20 years ago I was taking the 82, 25 on daily basis and always took the 102 to/from IAH. And another one connected from light rail to Hobby but I don't remember the number. Did service degrade? It was fine I guess if you live in the city center.
@LinkedInHelp hi, i am based in Japan, traveling in Europe currently and had trouble logging into LinkedIn. This seems to have triggered a ID check with Persona which I submitted. Result was a permanent account restriction/lock. How can I provide the docs/info needed to unlock?
@trickytaipei coincidentally i was watching a video about the people in this region a few weeks ago https://t.co/DqtK2GR945
there are also some in kota kinabalu offshore islands that do (presumably undocumented) day labor for businesses in the malaysian city, i saw them on a visit there
watching this drama of some shady stuff happening in japanese red light district of taipei in the 80s...then realized, hey, this show has an accidental political angle?
@AirlineFlyer you are lucky to see this. on my bicycle ride to work i see at least 30 cars a day pulled over with their flashers on blocking the bike lane, and very very few actually get ticketed. this norm makes cycling on the road in tokyo more dangerous than it should be
@LymanTweets it's a western-ish restaurant in a nice residential area. the table next to me even had children! and no, only after we'd sat down and my friend ordered a beer and I ordered a ginger ale did the waiter say "oh sorry we do not accept customers who do not order alcohol"
went to this restaurant and literally got asked to leave because I didn't order an alcoholic drink. i guess they write it clearly on their insta but what a wild rule. plenty of open seats too so it's not like my ginger ale would've eaten into their profit for the night
ko-p looking very inexperienced at this level (again), KMT still looking confused how democracy works, gou just trying to figure out how to continue enjoying burning his money and getting the camera time. it's a bad look for all involved
this half of taiwan politics has been so embarrassing this week. taiwanese people deserve better, should have a few good choices for the pres election rather than this mess
I know a guy from Pingtan living in Tokyo who told me about this a few years ago. He worked on some of the project as a construction worker (said the wages were really good) and was naturally really excited about it. Also he completely believed it was going to happen really soon.
So this is a thing. The “台” 「Tai」in the 京台高速公路 JingTai Freeway is for Taipei 台北。Currently it terminates in Pingtan 平潭 on the Fujian coast, waiting for the promised Taiwan Strait crossing #Taiwan#China#TaiwanStraitCrisis
@Chris_arnade i am not sure what brings you to that part of town... it is arguably the "park slope" of tokyo. seems like not your scene. you may enjoy the mcd in other parts of the city more, like this one in kita-senju which is maybe more like the bronx over there: https://t.co/yI3yfQiKRA
