@Lis_lvsb821@ppandani The only players staying or leaving their teams right now are players who will be on the protection lists. That's all. That's why there are no protection lists yet.
@DrakeMT Most people I see upset about it are outside of Montreal. Most Montreal fans I've seen have been more excited to see them repping the Victoire than anything else 😅
#PWHL teams to miss the playoffs and come back with the same head coach the next season:
2024-25 Ottawa
2025-26 New York
2026-27 New York (so far)
That’s it.
A moment that put things in perspective for me was when Liv Chu-Ouellette, on a stage surrounded by thousands, held up the Walter Cup. She was a month old when Les Canadiennes raised the banner for their 2017 Clarkson Cup championship at a 576-seat community rink.
Brendan Gallagher is THE example for a player who knew what it meant to be a Montreal Canadien despite not being from here.
A lot of the current players followed his lead.
This was the last championship banner for a pro women's hockey team in Montreal. Not sure where the original is, but I am pretty sure the replica is in the glass case at the Verdun Auditorium.
I imagine we will get one at Place Bell next November.
