@RainbowForeman @DocStrangelove2 I find the trick is to stop at the first step. 40k is not 10 thousand years after the Horus Heresy. It's 38,000 years into our own future. Skip the Emperor, skip the Primarchs. Humanity is a bunch of catholic space nazis and go from there.

There's nothing stopping one from using their own resources to make such an entity out of their own information networks.

Sabastion Thor grandfathered them in as part of the Church reformation. The whole men at arms thing hasn't been mentioned since 4e.

@Majimawithadart @Kabooski01 Two things. The Astartes and Sororitas aren't 1:1 and were created and exist for completely different purposes. And the Orders Non-Militant of the Sororitas cover a lot more than just the Order Famulous.

Actually, I would recommend checking out the Deathwatch RPG books instead of their codexes. There's a lot of things they do that's fairly similar to the Knights Errant
