@dcrane2 Good interest rates for savings and cash back while still having visa protections. It's a debit card though. I don't use it much now but will use it more over time.

To summarize: HuggingFace got autonomously compromised by a model from an American company. HF then tried to use American frontier model(s) to defend themselves, but were blocked by guardrails. HF then had to turn to open source Chinese models to defend themselves from another American company.
Kimi K3 just fixed 15 critical security bugs that Codex and Fable refused because of “cyber guardrails.” There’s no reason to limit American models on tasks that Chinese models handle without issue. We’re only making ourselves less competitive.
Many current Democrats, and more particularly those that have strayed into the fantasy land of the DSP, are in the habit of labeling Elon Musk and many others who believed, and still believe, in the principals of the Democratic Party circa 2000, as "Nazis".
In the immortal words of Inigo Montoya:
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Just my 2 cents of what I’ve been thinking about lately…
I could one day see companies eventually sponsoring Tesla Robotaxi rides, which could quietly create an entirely new business for Tesla.
Imagine opening the Tesla app and seeing a sponsored ride from a company like McDonald’s, Nike, Apple, Coca-Cola, or Netflix. A brand could cover part, or even all, of your fare in exchange for getting its name/products in front of riders.
Everyone wins in this situation.
Riders pay less, brands get customers through the door, and Tesla creates another high-margin revenue stream on top of the ride itself.
Companies could also sponsor themed Cybercabs with custom wraps, offer exclusive discounts during the ride, or reward loyalty members with ride credits. For example, a restaurant could offer a free ride home after dinner. A retailer could sponsor rides to a shopping center during the holidays. Events, concerts, and sports teams could cover transportation for fans.
And since Tesla controls the vehicles, the software, and the app, it can tie the entire experience together in a way traditional ride-hailing companies simply can’t.
The awesome thing is that this will not require Tesla to reinvent anything… once the Robotaxi network reaches meaningful scale, adding sponsorships would mostly be a software and business development opportunity. It could help lower ride prices, increase demand, keep vehicles busier, and generate additional high-margin revenue with relatively little added $ cost.
Tesla hasn’t announced anything like this, so it’s just an idea today.
But it feels like one of those obvious opportunities that becomes much more valuable as the Robotaxi network grows into the millions. The autonomous transportation business alone is super exciting, but if Tesla can layer advertising and brand partnerships on top, it could unlock another meaningful revenue stream that many investors are probably not thinking about today.
@thejefflutz@Teslaconomics That's probably true since takeover ads are almost always terrible but these renders are beautiful. If done well and with high quality brands with high quality aesthetics I am all for it.
Eat a mouthful of grass and you get nothing. It goes in green and comes out green.
Eat straw and you get nothing. Your gut cannot touch cellulose.
Eat acorns and you get tannins, and a very bad afternoon.
Eat bracken and you get a carcinogen.
Eat nettles, thistles, brambles, rushes and moorland heather and you get a mouth full of blood and no calories.
Eat the beet pulp, the oat husks and the spent brewer's grain and you get the waste the factory couldn't sell.
Now feed the lot of it to a cow.
She turns every one of them into steak, butter, cream, milk and a hide, on land that will never grow a vegetable, using four stomachs and a fermentation vat you do not have.
The grass she eats grew on rain and sunlight, for free, on a hillside nobody can plough.
She is the only creature on earth that can take a field of inedible fibre and hand you back the most nutrient-dense food there is.
The cow is not competing with you for food. She eats the ninety percent you cannot.
Best plant-based diet ever invented. It just has a cow in the middle doing the hard part.
I was just charged $3,800 for labs from my doctor. Insurance negotiated a lower price and paid most but I had to copay $130. Then I had to meet my remaining deductible, so another $750. And I pay hundreds a month in premiums and hundreds a month in Medicare taxes. Meanwhile all the jobless people and even undocumented jobless get free Medicare at my same facility...
@alojohhardcore Since we have a while until the next mu earnings and little news, what are the expectations as other companies report earnings and capex spend on mu stock? Does it typically move the price or does it take until the mu earnings run up?
@cmdthoughts@elonmusk Because there was some customer confusion about if ZDR was in place or how to set it up as it's been added to tools in the past week. So SpaceXAI is deleting all up to this point to make sure people are opting in to sharing data.
