Just finished book 42 for the year and I don't see myself getting through another before the New Year so time for a short thread on what I read this year
May. 7 books read (+1 DNF); 41/60 for the yearly goal.
Ragnar Jónasson new author month plus a few favorites in Wagamese, Nesbø, and Backman. I don't DNF books very often but I didn't even get 100 pages into the Towles book. Disappointing given how many people recommended it.
Going to do a monthly thread for my reading list this year rather than just dumping the entire thing in December. Happy to answer any questions as I go. Goal for the year is 60 books.
April. 8 books read; 34/60 for the yearly goal.
We'll see if I can keep it up but on pace for 100 this year. New authors this month were Nigar Alam and Marjan Kamali.
"Carter Hart is not a conquering hero who overcame adversity. He is a liar who abused his privilege and legal protection to obstruct justice. He is allowed to continue his career, and we are allowed to remind him of his abhorrent behaviour."
