@things_sox 2023 LRJ was special but inconsistent. Peters is consistent and solid. If Peters can be this for 5+ seasons, I'd take his consistency and solid effort every day. I do wish 2023 LRJ was on this team, though.
@Sean_W_Anderson It's a bit over the top, but I wish Colson had more discipline with runners in scoring position because he Ks too much with runners in scoring position. It's like he always swing for the fences instead of making smart swings to keep the line moving.
@StonecoldSxnick I don't think it's hate. His K rate with runners in scoring position needs to get better if he wants to be a staple for a long time to come. You've said it, he needs to shorten his swing sometimes and not be looking for HR or bust.
@HashTagWhiteSox Acuna. I understand the arguments for needing a speed guy in close games, but if Gonzalez is the real hitter we believe he is, then we don't need the speed guy because games shouldn't be "close".
After his walk-off homer, I asked Miguel Vargas if he felt a greater sense of responsibility to step up after Munetaka Murakami left the game.
Vargas: โWe know the big piece that Mune is for this team and all he brings. We all stayed together. Even when he went out, he was the first one in the clubhouse waiting for everyone. When you see that, it brings the group closer together. Weโve all got to support him and hopefully itโs nothing bad.โ #whitesox
