@JEChalmers@BreakfastNews Make no mistake, I've backed you guys since 2014, I wont overlook this though and I'm bitter enough that I'd sooner vote the LNP back in power.
Poor singles/couples/disabled people being overlooked is a sign to jump ship. Lets hope the Greens/Independents do a better job.
@JEChalmers@BreakfastNews It's weird to say as a Labor voter that I've benefitted more under the LNP lately.
We hoped on help for the low income and disabled and all I'm seeing is price-gouging companies, immigration with no housing, tax cuts for the rich and help BUT only for families, ALL UNDER LABOR.
@Sapphiredrogon @BreezyScroll I did keto once like 10+ years ago, never did the butter thing tho, it got so boring eating chicken and steaks cooked in coconut oil daily, I lasted like 2 days bleh.
Now I'm all in for the berry smoothies, tofu curry, sweet-soy mushrooms and buddha bowls. π
@napost13@SkyNewsAust Yup, ripe with talent, their NSW deputy leader disrespected the queens death by accusing her of leading a racist empire and stealing wealth+land of colonised people... While she takes 210-240k+ of Australian/indigenous money taxpayer money and owns (3 investment) properties.
@mel_wright123@SkyNewsAust @hollieahughes I agree with that, it's probably likely that Thorpe didn't actually abuse her position for her bikie partner, at least not knowingly.
That said she did break integrity, and because the Greens pride themselves on having "stronger" moral principles that makes it all the worse imho
@mel_wright123@SkyNewsAust @hollieahughes But she's still a senator and I doubt she will be resigning from that cushy job of hers. Really, resigning from deputy leader is a token action if anything since she still gets to keep her ministerial roles and public payroll.
Just like the Libs do. π
@Sir_radington @S81210851S @MuffinScript@Daily_Express Ooh ooh, I know the answer to this one!
Because Egypt has a shit economy and they think they can fix corruption and bad economic planning by getting an old rock people might pay to look at.
Seriously though it's pathetic on their part.
@truthseeker4216 @ChrisMinnsMP Honestly though, people shouldn't have to work 60h a week and never see their family just to provide for them, it's unconscionable to suggest people work harder for that.
@truthseeker4216 @ChrisMinnsMP People like me could work in a cushy nice paying job, but then who's going to wait your table, flip your burgers, stack your shelves and pick your fruit?
Instead of taxes maybe we can demand $45/h to stack shelves at your supermarket? Even the paying field a lil bit?
@ComptionsRBLX @MuffinScript@Daily_Express My family owned 2 hotels in Wales prior to WW2, they are a part of my family history, that doesn't make them mine, I can't go and demand the current owners cede control simply because I have an entitlement complex.
@ComptionsRBLX @MuffinScript@Daily_Express Actually, the French found it and surrendered it to Britan so it wasn't even finders keepers. π
Evenso, I don't support your view on the matter. Just because a person or nation once had ancestors who made/owned something doesn't mean their descendants can just take it back.
@truthseeker4216 @ChrisMinnsMP The great part about screwing over low/middle income people is that we make up most of the population, and when we can't afford housing, fuel or food then the top %'ers will be who suffer our wrath. π
@truthseeker4216 @ChrisMinnsMP You mean why should the government not waste our money helping people who don't need it and instead use it to keep us out of debt or help people who are actually in need?
Do I really have to explain the ethics or the impracticality of that to you? Really?
@truthseeker4216 @ChrisMinnsMP I'll be over the moon if he abolishes the stage 3 tax cuts. Nobody earning over 100k deserves to be getting any tax cuts while the rest of us are haemorrhaging money on inflated rental, food, power, fuel, toll prices.
@LOTRonPrime Amazon, the Tolkien estate and these actors? All they are after is money. Maybe the actors, writers and director want to throw in some of their surface-level political views too but ultimately this is just a project made with the goal of getting $$$ for all of them. Nothing more.
@LOTRonPrime Lets forget the diversity casting for a sec and focus on
-The awful lines
-The awful costumes (printed shirts, really?)
-The fact Arondir has a fade in the sides of his hair (try doing that without hairclippers)
-The fact Princess Disa lacks a beard and doesn't look dwarflike
@LOTRonPrime Tolkien put a lot of his heart, soul and life into his work, it was a deeply personal project for him and while it isn't talked about it has deep ties to his Catholic roots and it's culture, philosophy, stories and theology.
@LOTRonPrime -The fact Galadriel is having an identity crisis when she is thousands of years old already and should be pretty wise by now
I could probably scrutinise more and that's just on the surface level without reviewing the episodes but instead of that I'll just say this.
