Spectacular explosion in the Kapotnya refinery in Moscow, Russia. This silo not only exploded but also catapulted the roof of the building into the air.
@FrankLas111@pomiaryznaczen@HungaryBased Even if that were true (it‘s not, nuclear is a shrinking share of global power capacity), is what everyone does automatically the right way?
@FrankLas111@pomiaryznaczen@HungaryBased How is it a hypothetical extreme? It‘s our current geo-political reality. You were the one bringing up independence, and with nuclear power, we would simply not be independent at all.
@FrankLas111@pomiaryznaczen@HungaryBased Does not answer the question. What country is capable of producing and selling nuclear fuel rods and is not in danger of being involved in an armed conflict or being unreliable in other ways in these times?
@FrankLas111@pomiaryznaczen@HungaryBased What is „less war sensitive areas“ even supposed to mean? What country sells nuclear fuel rods and is not in risk of being involved in armed conflicts?
@FrankLas111@pomiaryznaczen@HungaryBased I‘m an engineer, it‘s my job to see hurdles AND find options around them. This is no „step forward“ though. Nuclear power is in the past for Germany, we took a different path, switching back and forth makes no sense.
