Karnataka is the clearest example
BJP attempted a uniform civil/institutional code by banning religious attire and symbols in schools under the banner of uniform discipline
Congress came to power and reversed restrictions to protect community traditions and religious freedom
INC acts as the Conservative/Trad party preserving group autonomy & community rights.
While BJP is the liberal secular party pushing a 18th French style uniform republic

@PunishedKebbin INC pushes separate legal structures based on religion. Land/civic life is managed by religion. State is ‘secular’ because no authority
Commies don’t care for religion and are useful idiots to those who do
BJP wants uniformity, morality to be derived from majoritarian culture
Modi is praising the RSS today. But I think we should also talk about its history.
When millions of Indians were fighting for freedom, the RSS as an organisation stayed away from the Quit India Movement of 1942.
And then there was Partition.
The Muslim League wanted Pakistan. But let us not forget that the Hindu Mahasabha also formed governments with the Muslim League in provinces like Sindh and NWFP.
The RSS and Hindu Mahasabha were different organisations. But both promoted the idea of politics based on religious identity.
The Muslim League played a major role in Partition. But we cannot ignore how RSS backed Hindu nationalist politics also added to the religious divisions of that time.
And those divisions are still hurting us today.
Now let us talk about our national flag.
In 1947 the RSS publication Organiser openly opposed the Tricolour and argued for a saffron flag.
And do you know what happened after that?
The RSS did not hoist the national flag at its Nagpur headquarters for 52 years between 1950 and 2002.
They have given their explanations for it. But I still find it difficult to understand.
And today we are being told how much this organisation has done for India.
I am sorry but I cannot simply ignore this history.
For me India has always been about people of different religions living together. That is the India our freedom fighters fought for.
And I cannot trust an organisation whose history raises so many questions about that idea of India.
My conscience simply does not allow me to.
#WATCH | Mumbai: Ankit Bhuptani, featured as a contributor in the book 'Hundred Years Young: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ', says, "The LGBT movement around the world, including in India, has been quite confrontational towards the non-left spaces. So when I got an invitation, I was first surprised, but I also found that it's a great opportunity for the LGBT movement to engage with the community, which has generally not been part of the dialogue... Since my childhood, I have never been to any of the shakhas... On top of it, my own LGBT community did not portray any kind of positive or welcoming narrative of the Sangh Parivar. It was quite different than what I was expecting. What I discovered once I met people within the Sangh Parivar and larger ecosystem is that they are quite open to hearing new ideas and to dialogue..."
INDIA After Independence (1947)
Poverty rate: 80%
Illiteracy rate: 88%
Life expectancy: 32 years
Food shortage: Severe famine
National treasury: Empty
Heavy industry: Almost zero
Infrastructure: Crippled
And then, a visionary leader took charge & Rest is history.
The entire internet is against the INC/BJP
According to the internet Arvind Kejriwal would have been the Prime Minister of Jupiter if it were not for a conspiracy by the INC and BJP.
that r/IndiaMemes page is a anti-BJP/gov circlejerk subreddit.
I joined at first thinking it's a meme subreddit and boy oh boy...
They are so into their own eco-chamber, mfs make stories out of thin air and post as fact 🤣😭
INC is a Brahmanwadi party
INC is zero, non existent and irrelevant
SP has the absolute support of the P (OBC) D (SC) A (Minority)
Still why does Akhilesh need an alliance with the INC?
I just wanna say this loudly and clearly:
Neither Congress nor NCP-SP is going extinct in Maharashtra.
I’m a Congressi, but let’s not be delusional. Congress cannot realistically expect to return to power in Maharashtra without an alliance with NCP-SP.
Both wl revive together.
Winning states is not just about securing funds but about energizing Congressies all over India and changing the perception in favor of INC.
Imagine the situation if INC had lost Kerala.
@Arjun85430 Winning uttarkhand, goa election will help in perception. Imagine if Congress is slp in Punjab, looses goa and uttarkhand and aap forms govt with SAD or waris ? Then it will repeat of 2022. Winning even small states helps in perception and reduces BJP govt in overall tally
@Jari776 Congress needs to get to 150 that will be enough as dmk is out and tvk isn't corrupt sp is too not that much corrupt only rjd is corrupt one left
@NewsArenaIndia GCs of UP
Sit at home and let this neela party face the consequences. Otherwise future generations won't be generous to you for you blind love of Modi
RSS is so overly talked online, are literally called terrorists etc. if you meet a few RSS men they're just regular uncles who go to work, run families and just live. The chadification and coping in their names happen by the leftists who can't stop being obsessed over them
@SatwikHegde5 Vijays appeal and RGs goodwill sweeps the majority but exceptionally good DMK+ local candidates with personal goodwill can still hold their ground
TVK vote is half ADMK(which holds original INC base) and half from DMK
In 2029 INC+TVK the traditional Congress base consolidates with RGs appeal
While DMK secures its core
My assessment of TN politics: Current party strength & 2029 outlook
TVK – 35%
DMK – 30%
AIADMK – 20%
TVK (35%): Includes an estimated 10% pro-Modi vote that could shift away in 2029 if TVK backs Rahul Gandhi as PM.
DMK (30%): Consolidating its base as both pro-DMK and anti-TVK. It could retain much of this vote even without a PM face.
AIADMK (20%): In third place and facing a declining base, it could fall to 10% by 2029. The big question: will its lost votes move to TVK or DMK?
Others:
PMK – 4% | NTK – 3% | BJP – 2% | Congress – 2% | DMDK – 1% | Others – 2%
These are my estimates, not poll figures. The biggest variable heading into 2029 is where AIADMK’s voters go.
