The World Cup is on U.S. soil this summer and I cannot tell you how fired up I am. The biggest sporting event on the planet, in our backyard, and I get to collect it in real time. That's the part people sleep on with digital collectibles: I can watch Haaland cook in the 70th minute and own the card before the final whistle.
Performance-based buying, instant, no waiting weeks for a slab to clear. A kid goes supernova on Saturday and you can be holding his 1/1 by Saturday night. I love this. It's the most fun I've had collecting in years.
Hate NFTs if you want. Hate sports NFTs more. I'm not going to argue you out of it — I started right where you are. But nobody's dislike has ever slowed a technology down, and the people shorting digital ownership are running the same play as everyone who swore the physical copy was the only one that would ever count. They were wrong then. This isn't different.
And look at where else your money can go right now. Stocks priced for perfection, where you're buying the top and praying. Crypto that's one tweet away from cutting you in half. Everything correlated, everything overheated, everybody crowded into the same trades waiting to get killed together. Finding real alpha right now is brutally hard — and this is one of the few corners left where it still exists, because most people are too busy sneering at it to look.
Don't take my word on the demand — read the book. There's a $125,000 standing offer on a Yamal 1/1 from this drop right now. A Messi at $105,000. A wall of bids at $50k and up, and tiers under that running deep into five figures. Those aren't asking prices I'm quoting at you. That's live money, parked on specific cards, by people who want them today.
And the timing doesn't come back around. Prizm World Cup drops June 19, Hobby on the 24th, while the tournament is actually being played here — U.S., Canada, Mexico. Last dance for Messi and Ronaldo. First one for Yamal as the guy the whole sport runs through now. You don't get this set, these names, and this moment stacked on one weekend twice.
So, simply: you don't have to believe it wins forever. You just have to be willing to find out once, on the best product there's ever been to find out on. Buy a card of somebody you'd be proud to own ten years from now. Put it away. Let it age. The skeptics can keep litigating whether any of this is "real" — I'd rather just own the answer.

🚨 Free alpha for #PaniniBlockchain Prizm World Cup. Read in full.
Pack cost: FOTL $150 x13960 +hobby $25 x50480 =$3.356M.
- Let prizm gold have unit 1
- black + nebula 6x (via my 10^(1/2) x2 formula)
- Let’s say zebra /5 at 0.5
- Old glory /7 at 0.5
- Maple Leaf /9 +Aguila /11 each 0.25
- Landmarks 1/1 at 1.
Adding up, 10+6+6+0.5x5 +0.5 x7 +0.25 x(9+11)+1=34.
3356k/34=$98.7k.
So as long as a Prizm Gold copy each of Messi + Yamal + Ronaldo + Mbappe + Haaland exceeds $100k, the above cards for those 5 guys alone will exceed the product revenue.
I think they will easily exceed that.
There are
- many great players (checklist of 499 guys in the base set)
- other cards (base parallels, inserts)
- other value creation mechanism such as rainbow challenges, animal + floral pack crafting which elevates other cards’ value without them needing to be intrinsically value.
Moreover,
- great world cup moments can increase value sharply
- record can set chain reaction
- more new hobbyists add more demand.
So this product is hugely ev+, great timing and highly anticipated.
Secondary for both FOTL and hobby packs will be insane.
What is your strategy to tackle this product? Comment below. Feel free not to say. LOL.

Diamond already laid out the full facts/checklist beautifully, so I’m not going to rehash every detail. I linked his post at the bottom.
I'll offer a few thoughts on the bigger picture here.
We saw last fall how one major pack drop can completely change the PBC landscape. Best of NBA packs ripped on resale, coupled with a spend promotion and huge secondary sales, created a massive amount of value for collectors, and helped ignite a much broader move across the platform.
I think this World Cup drop has the potential to be even more important. Much more.
There are two main layers of value creation here:
● Packs are priced well below where the market may value them, creating immediate demand and potential resale upside.
● This is a large drop, but it may also be the deepest hit product PBC has ever released. There are potentially dozens of cards with 6-figure upside, which is incredible given a total retail market cap of under $3.4M
With the World Cup dynamic, some of these cards could fluctuate wildly depending on who actually wins the tournament or performs on the biggest stage. That adds another layer of speculation, strategy, and collector excitement.
I view this as a major liquidity and value-creation event for the entire Panini Blockchain ecosystem. Tack on a spend promo and we’ll see wild price action (Kabooms??? One can dream).
When collectors win, profits don't disappear - they tend to flow into all corners of the marketplace (both packs and singles).
So even if you’re taking a wait-and-see approach on this specific collection or sport, I think the bigger takeaway is that a lot of value may be unlocked across the site - all available right now.
I believe this drop alone will expand attention to this incredible product, deepen conviction, and push the entire market forward.

Crypto is crashing. Stocks are bleeding.
Meanwhile, Panini Blockchain keeps setting new highs across the board.
However, the reason people feel confident sharing and promoting PBC isn't just price action, it's the foundation and it's future.
The product is incredible. The experience is sticky. For physical collectors, the conversion is seamless and intuitive. It feels familiar immediately, but with a value proposition that is completely different from anything else in the hobby. Which makes it such a unique opportunity.
With stocks, crypto, or most digital collectibles, it’s hard, even impossible, to confidently tell someone to put real money in. The risk is high, the learning curve is steep, and too often the trend looks like a death spiral.
PBC is completely different.
That’s why some of the most respected voices in the hobby - people who normally avoid anything that sounds like investment advice - are willing to put their name and reputation behind it.
Because this isn’t just a speculative digital platform, it’s the best bridge the hobby has ever had between physical collecting and digital ownership.

Best card, lol.
Fanatics took the NFL license, printed a billion cards, killed their own blockchain, left Panini's standing, and accidentally made every PBC holder rich.
Green Kaboom Allen 1/1. The best Josh Allen card in existence.
The one Fanatics can't touch.
@jaydesai@NFTsEveryday@PaniniAmerica Wow! Great stuff... and your last addition, one of only 10 gold Kabooms from the goat Leo Messi... unbelievable.
Congrats!👍🏼🔥
🚨 Breaking news: #PaniniBlockchain just acquired the license to jointly release with Upper Deck
- licensed hockey cards
- Jordan autographs and
- a variety of 90s IPs, incl. PMG & Essential Credentials.
The first MJ auto on chain in hobby history will be in the Nascar owner set.

Hold With Purpose: Cardset Staking & Rewards Are Coming 🔒
This is it. Day 5. The feature that gives everything we've talked about this week a real, tangible payoff (all pun intended).
We've covered Kiosk Mode bringing new collectors in. Value Tags and Counter Offers making trading smarter. The Completion Engine turning set chasing into a guided experience.
All of that has been building to this.
Cardset Staking & Rewards - the game changer for every collector on Panini Blockchain 🔥
Here's the jist:
Finish a set.
Stake it.
Earn rewards.
The longer you hold, the more you earn.
Simple yet powerful. And honestly? A reason to collect with purpose and HODL like 💎🙌
This is the breakdown as we see it now:
3 staking tiers with escalating reward multipliers:
⏱️ 30 days
⏱️ 90 days
⏱️ 180 days ( 💎🙌 territory. Maximum rewards for maximum hold)
The tiered system is huge.
There is also mention of rarity being considered a metric for rewarding level 👀
''Reward value scales with card rarity''
This is definitely one of the most interesting points of clarification we will get to see as it gets developed.
We're excited for what this could mean for collectors who chased the rare pulls, who paid the premium, who held when others sold ...those cards are now not just 'sittin pretty', They earn 'pretty'.
Overall, the introduction of this platform benefit rewards the collectors who genuinely believe in what they're building.
Not the flippers.
Not the paper hands.
The people who see the long-term vision and potential and back it. 💪
Now let's talk about what you actually earn 👀
"Staking rewards include Blockpoints, NFTs, packs, or physical merchandise."
Read that last part again. Physical merchandise. 🤯
That bridge between digital and physical collecting that Kiosk Mode started on Day 1?
Staking completes it.
You're holding digital assets and earning real-world rewards.
That's genuine value flowing between both worlds.
The digital-physical loop is closed. 🔄
Think about what this does to the ecosystem:
Market stabilisation
If collectors are incentivised to hold completed sets rather than flip individual cards, there's less selling pressure.
Less selling pressure means more scarcity.
More scarcity means the cards that ARE available become more valuable.
Everyone's collection benefits.
Demand for set completion goes through the roof
Yesterday's Completion Engine suddenly has a rewards engine behind it.
Completing a set isn't just a leaderboard flex anymore.
It's a rewarding stream.
Attracts serious collectors
When people outside the Panini Blockchain ecosystem hear that you can stake completed sets and earn real rewards?
That's a headline. That brings in collectors who think long-term, regardless of whether they follow the theme of the NFT.
This feature ties the entire roadmap together.
Kiosk Mode brings people in.
Value Tags and Counter Offers give them the tools to trade smart.
The Completion Engine guides them to finish sets.
And Staking gives them a reason to hold those sets.
Every feature feeds the next.
Every step strengthens the ecosystem.
This product update is actually a sophisticated flywheel. 🎡
Long overdue and welcomed in every way! We will bring you more information as it's available but for now we want to know, what completed set would you stake first?
And which reward type gets you most hyped - Blockpoints, NFTs, packs, or physical merch? Let us know below 👇

What collectors don't realize is that with physical cards you don't get the brilliant graphics like the NFT cards on the blockchain. Visuals forever!!!
@PaniniAmerica@spinotron
This is actually scary.
If you put money on PFP NFT projects in 2021, now your holding is mostly 1% if blue chip (unless punks), 0% ow.
If you put 💰on #PaniniBlockchain cards in 2021, now you at least 10x (up to 50x).
The diff choices make a 1:1000 ROI performance difference.
