So, what do you guys think about the issue of the ceiling price increase, especially the supply of chickens and eggs? Has this issue been resolved by the government or is there a better solution?
In my opinion, the price ceiling should be changed and measured according to the current needs of people and the progress of the country's economy. Trader also should be wise in selling controlled items such as chickens and eggs through the rules set by the government.
Therefore, the ceiling price setting for the supply of chickens and eggs should be lowered especially during Hari Raya. The decrease in the price of this supply can protect the welfare of the people of B40 category.
Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living in Johor(KPDN) has imposed action against those sellers who have misused the chicken supply price law. They said "retailers who sell abouthe ceiling price of RM9.40 per kilogram will be subject to compound action.
Not only that, there is the latest news about 5 sellers who sell chicken above the control price. They are accused of selling chicken for more than RM8.10 per kilogram. The actions of those who want to get high profits.
