I apply high expectations in my classroom by reminding every student that I expect them to pass my class with A’s. I try to tell them that low/failing grades should not be accepted or praised. Also, I expect my students to exhibit behaviors appropriate for their ages. #bc5243

My school relies on out-of-school suspensions very heavily. I think that a useful alternative would be in-school suspensions. If we had the resources to conduct in-school suspensions, then students could still be present at school and learn what they need to learn. #bc5243

It is important for teachers to explain the rules to students so that they understand what is expected of them. The reasoning behind the rules should be explained because that that will help the students understand why rules are necessary and valuable. #bc5243

I like the idea of using Skype or FaceTime for parent conferences. These can be done at the convenience of the parents. Also, i use Facebook messenger to talk with parents. More parental involvement could be encouraged by creating events and sharing them online. #bc5243

To build novelty in my classroom, I try to include humor into my daily instruction. This encourages my students to relax. Also, it helps me to create a fun, positive learning environment. I usually attempt to make the students laugh every day. #edu5143
