BREAKING: the House GOP leadership dam has broken and they say they are going to offer a 45-day clean CR - IMMEDIATELY.
Will contain disaster funding, nothing else. Not Ukraine.
Vote could happen as soon as next hour.
NOTE: will need 2/3, so lots of Dems. Asking them now.
@MARTAservice On this train right now and it's unbearably hot and no air right now. Can we get an ETA on when things might be moving, or at least some way to get air in here? Folks are struggling.
@jahorne Frequency is the biggest concern for me - transit is the most useful when its frequent . But removing payment barriers is huge. Paying for transit is one of the most difficult things to do in a new city. You need exact change, or need to download a new app for a single ride
@JDwithTW@USDOTFHWA @BhattmobileT An incredible pick that I couldn't be more excited about (and also, first time I've noticed the absolutely clever Twitter handle!)
@JDwithTW@NuriaFernandez8@FTA_DOT@SoundTransitCEO When i was at FTA, we had a list of all the acting and apptd people that had been FTA Admin, that i used when i led a 2013 TRB panel of all the living Senate confirmed Admins led by Peter Rogoff. Was amazed how few ever got Senate confirmed and how many were acting! (Like 30+)
@HorneJerome Interesting trivia: today's Federal Transit Administration (FTA), used to be called the Urban Mass Transportation Association (UMTA), which was birthed out of the HUD's urban studies division!
@TranspoCamp@MobilityLabTeam Thankful for a great conference and experiences - disappointed that you all made this decision so close to the 2020 conference date that no one else could carry the torch for a conference that is a critical complement to TRB and great access for many emerging planners.
