Knicks and MSG are asking fans to arrive "at least two hours" before the 8:30pm tip to get through security because of Trump….bastard ruins everything!
A lot of people I like, trust, and respect continue to support Graham Platner. A lot of people I like, trust, and respect think he’s awful and even dangerous and want to see Democrats abandon him. These can actually be legitimate disagreements between legitimately decent people, not evidence of good guys vs Israeli conspiracy I mean truly go see a doctor.
@AesPolitics1 Objectively, Graham Platner hasn’t been “attacked” at all. His past has been highlighted as a character flaw and red flag for a general campaign.
Y’all need to get out more if you think this is political hardball.
I keep thinking about Backrooms, that it’s a movie made by someone young now, about people being trapped in and forced to wander and sift through the banal and garish detritus of the late 20th century, warped and monstrous things being built from flimsy memories of that era
Somewhere, someone's posting a very similar take but calling the film sexist instead, because a woman was the "savior." Like, I'm all for deeper analysis but at a certain point you gotta understand--if you go looking for something, you usually find it.
the character in backrooms could be any MAN. if anything was stereotyped it was emotionally unavailable/ selfish men, not imprisoned black men.
sometimes art is just art.
we can analyze it in ways that discuss race/sex/etc, but to call it racism b/c the actor is black is lazy.
Backrooms is racist film. It’s technically brilliant, but racist. And it’s a shame during a time where Black studies is being eliminated on college campuses because I fear people are overlooking the obvious tropes and racist callbacks the film ridiculously displays.
MENG: Are you going to issue a new memo in writing rescinding the weaponization fund?
BLANCHE: I'm not committing to putting anything in writing. What would the purpose be?
MENG: You established it in writing, so it makes sense to rescind it in writing
BLANCHE: Ok. I'm not committing to doing anything in writing.
I love how everyone pushing Platner down on our throats before the primary is over was so accepting and welcoming to Kamala in 2024. So great to see you guys be super consistent and hold Platner to the same standard as everyone else and give him countless purity tests
Frankel to Rubio: "It is crazy that you want to let people in from South Africa because they can assimilate, while you're throwing out hundreds of thousands of people who have already assimilated and that are important parts of our economy and family life."
When Mamdani was running, CNN had plenty of segments about how he was unqualified and inexperienced to be mayor. Now they’re giving reality TV star Spencer Pratt positive coverage and openly rooting for him, lol.
Trump has no public events on his schedule again today. The last time he was seen publicly for something other than a pre-taped interview was six days ago -- Wednesday, May 27 -- for his cabinet meeting. (He went to Walter Reed the day before.)
I genuinely need to know why leftists didn't think it was absolutely vital to elect Harris in 2024 to fight fascism, but somehow now think the only way to defeat fascism is to elect a toxic white dude for a Maine senate seat.
