Someone raised with love usually shows it in small, consistent ways they communicate gently, don’t make you earn basic respect, apologize without ego, feel safe being vulnerable, and don’t see kindness as weakness. They often know how to disagree without becoming cruel and make people around them feel emotionally safe.
Sometimes you just gotta lay on the couch and stare at the ceiling and talk to God about all the confusing life stuff, and tell him you're gonna trust him even though nothing makes sense right now...
Just trust in him!
God is not in a hurry. You are.
That's why you're tired,
anxious,
stressed, and disappointed.
Surrender your timeline for His peace.
Trust that what is meant to be yours will be yours.
Nobody really talks about how waiting on God is hard. Somedays you have it all together and some days you burst into tears wondering how long this season would take.
At almost 30, everything DO be that deep. Who I surround myself with, who I fw, who I love, what I eat, what I do, where I go etc. If it’s not aligning with what I need/want there’s no room for it.
My patience is getting thin with a lot of people & interactions. I try to remain my pleasant, generous, & kind hearted self. Have to keep whispering to myself “it’s a test.”
No one teaches you how to admit you might be addicted to the hope of someone. Nor how to stop being loyal to someone who isn’t emotionally equipped to receive what you’re offering. Some part of you knows that. Let me explain….
my mom was telling me today that there's no disappointment when you accept things or people for what they are. but you don’t always have to cut people off when they don’t meet your expectations sometimes you just have to adjust the relationship + accept their capacity.
