👇I love this from Bobby Hurley.
💥If you are a teacher or coach you need to push people beyond their self-imposed limitations.
‼️If you are an athlete, be thankful when a teacher or coach pushes you beyond your comfort zone.
@natesportsguy Entitlement - all that has invested in terms of money, travel, sacrificed vacations, and the list goes on. Now some ref or coach interferes with my kids invested ability to succeed - no way!
Players: The person you are is far more important than the player you are. Your athletic talent is very temporary, but your character lasts a lifetime. What are your habits? Do you work hard? Are you humble? Grateful? Honest? Do you care for others? Character always follows you!
@AdamSchefter You don’t come back from a one game suspension and suddenly become a Team Guy. Time to move on - bound to happen with so many young prospects in the mix.
Cooper Kupp on routes on air with intent…
You know what we used to call that? Deja Vu..

“Because once you know what’s coming, that’s when techniques and your superpowers get to come out”

“Unconscious competence.”

I’m sure some sports scientist somewhere has a problem with this line of thinking. I tend to side with elite athletes who are students of the game and put the work into understanding the game holistically when they articulate things. 🤷🏻
"The good Lord has blessed me because I believe in just giving everything you have to everybody around you. That's my gift," Wicks added. "I know this, if I don't use it, God's going to take it away."

DISCIPLINE IS A WAY OF LIFE
This entire clip from Nick Saban is pure gold. Discipline is everything. Every player should watch this clip understanding how they do drills in practice, how they warm up, or do anything is a mentality. It can't be turned on or off.
One of the best ways to show kids that you care about them is through discipline. Part of the responsibility of parents, coaches, teachers, etc, is to hold kids accountable. The goal of discipline is to foster change for the better. Lifelong growth is achieved through discipline!
