Over the course of several decades, I have passionately followed the Liberal policies and political movements on a local and national level.

I am proud to be a part of the Liberal Family. When my father immigrated into Canada in the 1970s, it was Canada’s open and liberal way of life that pulled him to the country (i.e. he often spoke about PM Pierre Trudeau’s open policies on multi-culturalism).

Upon settling into Canada, my father exercised his political freedom and instilled such values in my sisters and myself. Growing up, we would have political discussions at the dinner table and it is here that I started to establish an alignment to the Liberal Party’s views.

I entered York University in the Computer Engineer program but after one course with Prof. Chawla I was inspired to enter Mathematics. He is kind, thoughtful, and passionate about education. He's a great example of how, with the right mindset and work ethic, anything is possible.

I studied Mathematics at York University from 2001-2006 and was inspired by Professor Chawla who was a Sikh Professor of Mathematics. Professor Chawla was a great role model whose Sikh representation in higher academia was inspiring.

As a millennial myself, I think it’s important for other Millennials and Gen Zs to get involved in politics. Our voices need to be heard and I will be a strong voice for affordability, climate change, mental health, and racial justice. #futuremajority

The Islamophobic incidents in Cambridge & Hamilton; & racist slurs against a Sikh security officer in Kelowna are extremely appalling & disgusting. Racism and intolerance have no place in our communities. We must strongly condemn these acts & create a safe & inclusive 🇨🇦 for all.
