With today’s momentus match upon us, the richest in world football apparently, I thought I would share story of a remarkable but little known football story when another Southampton team over achieved and met a Leeds team in a football final.

That was the last time the amazing Hill College team of 1988-1989 ever played together. What a group of players proud to play for their beloved Southampton college.
With many yrs of hindsight, I often think what made that team perform in the manner it did #saintsfc #sfc
