Release tens of billions from Ed Miliband’s net zero follies for defence capital investment.
Release billions more for day-to-day spending by some tough love for the 10m of working age not working and living on benefits. Plus abandon triple lock.
Go through current defence spending like a dose of salts to root out current waste and inefficiency (which is mega). Cull legacy programmes for platforms soon to be obsolete.

Grim times for Britain’s defence establishment.
An upcoming report by Parliament’s Public Accounts committee is thought to conclude that the British Army’s troubled Ajax armoured vehicle may never make it onto the battlefield because it is not ‘fit for purpose’.
Over £6 billion has been spent on the Ajax programme. It should have started service in 2017. It is still not deployed. It has been plagued with issues, including leaving soldiers vomiting and with permanent hearing damage during field trials.
This latest report discloses that soldiers have been instructed to conduct maintenance checks every time they stop the vehicle. Which is hardly realistic when operating Ajax for long periods in combat.
Another day, another defence procurement and resources shambles. Tory, Labour and Lib Dem politicians should hang their heads in shame for presiding over what is now a national scandal.

Deputy PM and Justice Secretary David Lammy has just admitted police SHOULD take the colour of someone’s skin into account when dealing with crime scenes and policing.

He starts with “we are all equal before the law” but then declares because of disproportionate ethnic minority arrest and prison stats, “context can matter”.

After the national outrage over the horrific treatment of Henry Nowak, where race obsessed officers prioritised the killer’s claims over a dying white teen, Starmer spent the week insisting there’s NO two tier policing and everyone is treated equally.

Now his own Justice Secretary openly says race based “context” is fine.

Absolutely astonishing admission.

This is outright race conscious policing from the top while they gaslight Britain that it doesn’t exist.

Since Andy Burnham wants to be the next Labour leader, here’s a reminder:

Andy accused victims of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs of trying to “propagandise” the issue.

He tried to block the grooming gangs inquiry in Manchester and nationally.

He claimed that Pakistani-Muslims grooming gangs are a “thing of the past” despite clear evidence that little girls are still being victimised to this day, including in his local area.

And what does he call the LITTLE GIRLS who were raped under his watch?

Not children.
Not little girls.

“Young women.”

Even on the most basic level, Burnham tried to shift the blame onto victims and refused to acknowledge that they were children.

Countless little girls were raped, exploited and even murdered by Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs, while powerful men like him turned a blind eye.

Andy Burnham belongs in prison, not Parliament.

And certainly not in 10 Downing Street.

Damning stuff. The police were told Henry Nowak needed medical attention when Gurpreet Digwa made the phone call, albeit for what they said was just a cut to his mouth. The Digwas also explicitly said there were no knives.
