Your daughter just got her first period.
Do not tell her she is a woman now.
Tell her what estrogen does.
Tell her what progesterone does.
Tell her her cycle has four phases and each one will feel different.
Give her information. Not a new identity.
“He has childhood trauma.” So do I.
“He’s under a lot of pressure at work.” So am I.
“He’s just overwhelmed.” Me too.
The only difference is that we excuse men’s behavior, and shame women for not carrying it.
Women, please look at his financial situation. Even if he’s not rich, is he working to make life easier for himself?
Is he financially prudent or disciplined?
Does he have a plan he’s working on?
These things are important while picking a life partner.
