I hope what we accomplished reminds somebody watching that our democracy doesn’t belong to the wealthiest, the most connected, or the people who have been in politics the longest. It belongs to US. The nurses. The teachers. The farmers. The military families. The parents. The working people. The rural communities. The young people. The people who can only give $5 but still believe enough to give it.

Yesterday, we made our voices heard. Today, we turn toward November. We’ve got more doors to knock. More communities to visit. More people to listen to. And a whole lot more Oklahoma to fight for. So celebrate this one. Then let’s get back to work.

First of all, THANK YOU. Thank you for every small dollar donation. Every prayer. Every story you trusted me with. Every door knocked. Every post shared. Every conversation. Every piece of constructive criticism. And every single vote. You believed in this movement, and yesterday YOU showed Oklahoma what people power looks like.

Our opponent raised approximately $370,000. We raised approximately $57,000. We were outraised more than 6-to-1…and the OklaHOMIES delivered a nearly 60%-40% victory.

We didn’t have the biggest checks nor did we have the political machine. WE HAD PEOPLE. Twenty months ago, I stepped into this race as a nurse, mom, military spouse, and regular Oklahoman who believed everyday people still deserved a voice in one of the most powerful institutions in this country. We went from winning a five-l person primary with 45.2% of the vote to becoming the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate.

But going after everyday Oklahomans because they support a candidate you don’t like is not democracy. It’s intimidation. LEAVE MY SUPPORTERS ALONE!

I will never encourage my supporters to threaten, harass, or intimidate someone supporting my opponent, and I expect the same standard from everyone participating in this election.

I don’t care who you support. I don’t care whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, Independent, conservative, liberal, or somewhere in between.

Political disagreement does not give anyone permission to threaten or intimidate another person.
My supporters should not have to worry about anonymous messages threatening violence because they put on a Jasmine Thomas shirt, share one of my posts, put out a sign, or exercise their right to participate in our democracy.

I am honored to announce that The Collective PAC has endorsed my campaign for the United States Senate.
