Could there be a trade around debrusk to Edmonton, Canucks retaining 50% to send Nurse to buffalo and maybe flipping byram to one of van/edm.

@Takhar77 He had 4 hits in those final 3 edmonton games and averages over 2 per game in the regular season. Trust me man, it was a narrative in Calgary too. He turned it around in Florida with a deeper team

@Takhar77 Low key he's pretty similar to the marner criticism when people bring up how he produces fine in the playoffs. Puts up points early in series then disappeared. 5 goals in game 1s, ghost when it mattered

@Takhar77 The guy who had 5 points in his first 14 playoff games? The year he had 10 in 12, he went pointless and -5 in the games 3-5 against the stalwart defensive Edmonton oilers? Yeah I think he disappeared too. Pointless in all 4 games Calgary was eliminated in during his time there

Fucked up offer sheet idea. Do the hurricanes consider Jason Robertson. They're a kotkaniemi and martinook/carrier trade away from being able to offer Robertson a deal that Dallas has to either match and fuck their cap, or accept 4 picks in the late 20s for.

@Takhar77 And Matthew tkhacuk had years of evidence of being a choker till he wasn't. Plenty of players have cemented themselves as playoff performers off a single clutch year. Maybe it was luck for marner and he goes back to unclutch after this, but denying his run this year is wild

@Gorgeou5Gorges Certainty* I figure the downgrade from byram to nurse is offset by the possibility of keeping tuch. And then you have more money after next season considering how contracts are going. Wouldn't be surprised to see byram get 8m+ on his next deal

@stinky_poke @MikeBartner He actually had more pp time per game than buium, but more 5v5 time will definitely help his numbers yeah. I just think neither were as impressive as you'd have liked this year, but that doesn't mean they're busts by any means.

@Terrytaoe @SchnorrPedro @MikeBartner Buium had a better ppg rate on the Canucks than parekh did in Calgary. Even ignoring minny, buium did better. Not to mention since buium got there, Canucks were a worse offensive team.

I think both guys will be studs, but the gap between the two is kinda crazy

@spurzy66 Yeah I'd imagine there'd have to be more going back for buffalo, just wasn't sure how much. Figured the extra cap to maybe keep tuch+ cost certainty of nurse would factor in on buffalos end as well. Not sure what pieces would go where to make it work for everyone though
