I’ve been using GrapheneOS on my Pixel since the Pixel 4. Right now, I’m using a Pixel 6a, 8, and 9 Pro. Privacy and security are my top priorities, and I couldn’t imagine going back to stock OS, whether it’s iOS or Android. GrapheneOS gives me a level of digital sovereignty that’s unmatched.

Yes, it’s safe to use with banking apps, but there’s a catch. Some banking apps don’t work on GrapheneOS due to their reliance on Play Integrity API checks. This issue is becoming more common with other app vendors too, so using banking and fintech apps on GrapheneOS could get tricky. For example, Revolut no longer works on it.

However, if you care about privacy and security (and you should!), GrapheneOS has few, if any, competitors in the world of privacy-focused custom ROMs. Honestly, it stands out even when compared to stock OS options. Check out these links for more details:

If you're thinking of making the switch, I’d recommend getting a Pixel phone (gen 8 or 9), flashing it with GrapheneOS, and making it your daily driver. Install privacy-focused FOSS apps, and you’ll have a phone that prioritizes your privacy and security.

As for your current iPhone, consider doing a factory reset (just make sure to back up your data first) and only install the banking and fintech apps you absolutely need. Keep it dedicated to those apps, and try not to use it for anything else, like browsing.

Finally, if you’re open to it, think about transitioning part of your finances to Bitcoin. Over time, you might find you don’t need the iPhone at all.

@SabinehazanMD Some folks I know used Ivomec when they couldn’t get IVM tablets or a prescription. It’s nearly impossible to get IVM from a pharmacy these days. Isn’t the active ingredient in Ivomec the same as in IVM?
