With the apparent excommunication of @tweetbot, I’m not done with @Twitter. One misstep after another. App experience is important, & official app is atrocious, so I’m out. Link in my bio for where else I can be found online. Peace out, peeps. https://t.co/7VRgNFMuZa
@brianmctaggart@kennlandry Just a note that the second statement in the Astros/Rangers preview article is incorrect. They also both made the playoffs in 1998 and 1999. https://t.co/iJxoQ1Q26D
@mattfricke@MKBHD No, but this product was not built or intended for the "average person." This is mostly to establish Apple's direction for this product & platform, similar to the original iPhone and how it was priced in 2007. Unlike the iPhone, this also begins developers using VisionOS.
So @tweetbot stopped working thanks to reasons unknown. So I’m giving the official @Twitter app a try, and this is a dumpster fire. Is this what all of you have been living with? I can’t live like this and may not be coming back. Bring me the Ivory app from @tapbots stat!
@kevinmyoung@Sarcasticluther I’m reminded of parallel stories that @geekyJustinLee wrote about in Torn. The first instance goes as you describe but puts him on the defensive about the second instance, which was a genuine attempt to connect. I found that impactful.
@kevinmyoung@Sarcasticluther Totally NOT what came to mind when I read that. Some great conversations & spiritual bonding have been the result of a random invitation from someone for coffee! 😂 But I’ve heard numerous account as Nadia describes.
While I wouldn’t say “don’t,” I’d encourage discernment.
