JULIAN ASSANGE IS FREE
Julian Assange is free. He left Belmarsh maximum security prison on the morning of 24 June, after having spent 1901 days there. He was granted bail by the High Court in London and was released at Stansted airport during the afternoon, where he boarded a plane and departed the UK.
This is the result of a global campaign that spanned grass-roots organisers, press freedom campaigners, legislators and leaders from across the political spectrum, all the way to the United Nations. This created the space for a long period of negotiations with the US Department of Justice, leading to a deal that has not yet been formally finalised. We will provide more information as soon as possible.
After more than five years in a 2x3 metre cell, isolated 23 hours a day, he will soon reunite with his wife Stella Assange, and their children, who have only known their father from behind bars.
WikiLeaks published groundbreaking stories of government corruption and human rights abuses, holding the powerful accountable for their actions. As editor-in-chief, Julian paid severely for these principles, and for the people's right to know.
As he returns to Australia, we thank all who stood by us, fought for us, and remained utterly committed in the fight for his freedom.
Julian's freedom is our freedom.

Trump: People who don't speak languages. We have languages coming in to our country, nobody that speaks those languages. They're truly foreign languages. Nobody speaks them
So when will you tell your children that when they grow up, every day will be like this because the people we voted for just had to keep on approving massive new fossil projects for companies like Woodside and Shell? #auspol
In a 18 months, Musk has made Twitter into a place where literal pro-slavery accounts are getting millions of views. It’s functionally the largest, longest, most sustained hate rally in human history. How long until the news media gets the nerve to talk about it?

A tenant can give 14 days’ written notice to end an agreement early without penalty if:
a landlord has put the property on the market for sale during the fixed-term, and the tenant was not told before signing the agreement that the property would be sold
@darthted@purplepingers Neither the new or old landlord can evict the tenant if a fixed agreement is in place, unless the tenant violates the terms of the lease, or the two parties reach an agreement by mutual consent.
Let's talk tax reform.
Australia exports more gas than Qatar, but Qatar collects 20x the revenue on gas than we do 🤯
It's time to tax gas fairly
As @RDNS_TAI explains, we need to fix the Petroleum Resources Rent Tax #insiders#auspol
