OK, let me solve American "economic anxiety" very quickly. I'm gonna sort it out for you in less than ten tweets and then you won't have that excuse anymore. You ready? Here goes.
The cause is capitalism and greed. That's it. Nothing else. Just that.
@HammerToe I've got a 5 hour flight tomorrow and you sir, have just reminded me how epic that album is and inadvertently provided at least a portion of the soundtrack!

Thank you Emmy for showering me with 2,500 Diamonds and getting me to shamelessly tweet this out. If you're a Solana OG head to https://t.co/pvPt2PFiKg to claim the Diamonds you've earned

Where do our beliefs come from? Why do we ascribe to the ideologies that we do? Why do we support the local team or share common religious beliefs?
It is simple.
We get our core beliefs from our parents and our immediate community.
This is fucking stupid.
There's no single person in the world that I agree with on every topic. There are places where my thoughts diverge massively from those that I am closest with. I love my parents and am eternally grateful for everything they have taught me. But I disagree them on a NUMBER of things, because information changes over the years and younger people are able to process and ingest these facts to create a more robust system of beliefs.
If you are passionately a member of a religion, extremely patriotic, a huge fan of your local team, a diehard believer in every position of your political party etc. Consider why? Is it because you ever thought through the importance of those beliefs, or because you were just raised to believe them?
There's NO WAY if you thought critically about your politics that you would AGREE with EVERYTHING that one of two sides believes. Nobody can fall into one of two buckets without being a thoughtless sheep/
Now consider if you were born a few miles away, potentially in a country with polar opposite views and a different religion. You would likely be raised to hate your current self. Is that rational? Does that make any sense?
Obviously NOT.
Use your brain and think for yourself. And always maintain strong opinions, loosely held. Things change with time and age.
The SEC didn’t dismiss because it’s the right thing to do. The enforcement lawyers recommended dismissal because their bullying and intimidation tactics backfired. Simply put, they were going to be outclassed and embarrassed in the courtroom (just like the Hinman email hearing - where later the judge called them
Hypocrites and said they lacked faithful allegiance to the law).
Also, Hinman was going to be called as a witness by @bgarlinghouse’s lawyer no doubt. Remember, Judge Torres ruled the Hinman emails were most relevant for impeachment purposes on cross examination. SEC lawyers, especially the lead lawyer in this case, only like it when trials are totally stacked against the Defendant, with the chances of a Defense victory, slim to none. In the end, they did what most bullies do when you step up to fight back: they backed down. This was easy to see coming.
@drew_mitchell@RFU They haven't managed to bring any round ball silverware home so they are resorting to kicking their way through the scoresheet at this world cup.
