@HRecharged@Baddiel Totally agree. Using 'common sense' in scenarios like this only creates grey areas which will lead to disaster and even more confusion. Correct decision in my book.
🚨 Sébastien Desabre on Harry Kane after England’s win:
🗣️ Reporter:
“Harry Kane scored again and was named Man of the Match. What did you make of his performance?”
🗣️ Sébastien Desabre:
“I’ve watched Harry Kane for many years, but every time I face him, he reminds me why he’s one of the best strikers of his generation.
After the match I shook his hand and said, ‘Do you ever get tired of deciding big games?’ He smiled and just said, ‘I just do my job.’
That’s Harry Kane. No drama, no noise. Just quality.
He isn’t only a goalscorer anymore. He drops deep, links the play, creates chances for others, presses defenders and then somehow still arrives in the box at exactly the right moment to score.
Most strikers become easier to defend as they get older because they lose a bit of pace. Harry has gone in the opposite direction. He’s added more intelligence, more awareness and more ways to hurt you.
We prepared for him all week, but you can prepare for Harry Kane and still fail because his football brain is on another level.
Sometimes you don’t lose because your team played badly. Sometimes you lose because the other team has a player who is simply exceptional. Tonight, that player was Harry Kane.
@GavNewlandsSCO Not a surprise. Its the type of thing Shearer did all the time along with most other strikers. Hate the idea of 'winning' penalties. Striker should always try to be scoring no matter what. If you are genuinely fouled then it's a pen. No questions.
@TEnglishSport Ive never been keen on penalties been given for minimal contact. For years the bar has needed rising for decisions like these. Attackers initiate these situations all the time & have done for a long time. Would love to see this way of officiating brought into domestic football.
St Mirren have signed goalkeeper Jacob Chapman from Huddersfield Town on a two-year deal, with club option for third.
Craig McLeish wanted a permanent goalkeeper rather than going down loan route for No1 again.
Has trained with Aussie national team.

@Talsea_victory@talkSPORT Oh well. So long as her daughters go to see her on centre court then I guess that's all that matters. It's a farce. Wimbledon have got it wrong.
@Talsea_victory@talkSPORT There has been another player who have been slogging their guts out on the tour desperate for a chance to play at Wimbledon only to be told that they are giving her place to a 44 year old who hasn't played pro tennis for ages. It's a farce. Glad she lost.
