re-skimmed "The Call of the Wild" cuz my kid had it for school. It's less sled dog story & more John Wick with fur. Buck goes from spoiled pet to wolf legend. Food pairing: miner's stew + sourdough bread. Yukon survival fuel > raw salmon mush any day. #JackLondon #BooksAndFood

Just finished Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 🚤 Huck + Jim floating down the Mississippi feels like the OG road trip story. Freedom, friendship, & fried catfish (which I don’t eat) + cornbread (which I demolish). Twain knew food + freedom go together. #BooksAndFood

One of my lifetime favorites: The Count of Monte Cristo - the ultimate revenge story. Edmond Dantès goes from happy sailor to betrayed prisoner to the mysterious Count. Like a sea urchin, he grows spikes to protect the soft heart inside. 🦔💔 #BooksAndFood

I tackled "Something to Die For" by James Webb. He uses food like a secret code to show who's who. The soldiers, all gritty & tough, eating awful military rations. Then you got the suits in Washington talking shop over steak and wine. The contrast is huge!

@miamidolphins why is the coaching so bad. there is just no creativity. its as ordinary as cream cheese on a plain bagel before they invented toasters and flavored cream cheese and flavored bagels.
