Going with the “no striker on the pitch” approach for this one then… Just the 2 on the bench. Both defence & attacking issues with this line up, but as always, time will tell.
Didn’t know what to expect from The End of Oak Street but it’s a decent film! I can only describe it as Jumanji meets Jurassic Park…with the brutality of The Last Of Us.
@LiamJKennedy23 A huge downgrading of the team & return to transfer windows Mike Ashley would have been proud of. The squad, club & fans are on our arses, the only positivity comes from the cheerleading CEO’s corporate BS. It’s funny how we’re becomes retail shop with a team attached. Ironic
@ChrisDHWaugh Doesn’t make things sound any better after reading that. Firstly, 2-4 players won’t be enough to even touch the sides for this current team/squad. Hopkins & Wilson just seem like useless cheerleaders. Feels like Newcastle lite administration rather than Newcastle 2.0.
@MagpieChannel_ I can’t see the club getting what we need within the next 20 days. It’s almost an exploratory season ahead with massive ups and downs to be had. If we can avoid a relegation scrap/run in then we’d of done ok. Will take several windows to evolve a team worthy of top 7/8 again.
@NUFC Little depth, not much has been done to replenish the squad/improve the first XI. Right FB CB, RW & a number 10 needed for first XI minimum ASAP. Will be scrapping it out with Hull & Ipswich in PL…club won’t get what we need in 18/19 days we have left either 100%.
@MirrorFootball If it’s based on profit and the reported 20%, it will be £1.5M….Not quite millions, but a decent fee to pay a quarter of Bruno’s super agent fee i suppose.
I feel as though Duff is on a free ride still from taking over from Dodds. Not much has changed from last season, we play the middle third well but still have the same issues defensively & in attack. AP is going to be crap (more so than normal) without the full terrace.
Spot on analysis in regard to Wycombe Gabs. Wycombe’s biggest issue is the soul cleansing from fan owned/community/family club to corporate entity. Was always going to happen in the hands of a billionaire. Adams Park these days reflects the almost faceless passion of the owner.
Gutted to see the captain and heartbeat of the Newcastle team go. Can’t begrudge him at all. Nearly 29, probably has 2/3 top seasons left in him, wants to earn and win more in that time. Not a toon legend but a good character. Big money to reinvest, everyone involved happy.
