today, i lost my best friend.
she wasn’t even supposed to be mine in the first place. i was just 6 years old when i was walking around a horse stables with my mom, and saw a lady holding a tiny little kitty. of course, i had to come say hello. the lady told me she was going to give you to her grand daughter, but unfortunately for her, as soon as she put you in my arms i simply never let you go. i begged and begged her until she caved and gave me you. from the moment i held you, you never stopped purring in my arms all the way home. even these last few days while we struggled together, 19 years later, you purred to let me know it was okay.
little did i know at that time that this little kitty would become something i hold so dearly in my heart for the rest of my life. someone who was there for me when i was bullied in middle school. someone who cried with me in highschool, and purred along with my achievements throughout life.
we were little girls together, and then we grew up together. i moved out to my first ever apartment by myself, and you were the one to come with me. when covid hit, it was me and you in my 500 square foot apartment against the world baby ❤️
to say that i feel completely shattered over the fact you are gone is an understatement. i will miss you for as long as i live, and when i pass i will run straight to you, i promise.
thank you for being the best friend a girl could ever have. thank you for purring besides me on my hard nights.
above all thank you for choosing me as your best friend, it’s been the greatest honor in the world
i will see you and hug you again, i promise
goodnight cheetobobeeto ❤️
