My other fav photographic tomfoolery is Frances Griffith & her cousin Elsie’s photographic “proof” that fairies exist, 1917. For many this proved that fairies were real even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle author of Sherlock Holmes deduced this was genuine. #AprilFoolsDay #photohistory
