Congratulations @RussellSCobb on releasing your new book - Ghosts of Crook County! Russ is an outstanding basketball teammate and an even better author.
It's a tale of An Oil Fortune, a Phantom Child, and the Fight for Indigenous Land that spanned from Oklahoma to Alberta.
Last week, I visited students at Enoch Cree Nation with members of the UofA Cross-Country team to learn about their culture, language and to move with them in their space of learning. We’ve partnered to help youth see their lives differently through sport and physical activity.
Yesterday I spoke at the Edmonton Somailiand Heritage Celebration about my shared heritage as a 2nd Generation Canadian. It gave me an opportunity to reflect on the beautiful life I’ve been afforded here in Canada, for which I am very thankful.

Such an honour to meet Marco Arop with his silver medal from the Paris Olympics this morning. It’s one of the greatest sporting achievements by an Edmontonian in my opinion!
Fun times touring Edmonton's River Valley from one Henday bridge to the other this morning. The Henday 2 Henday Marathon is no joke and I'm stoked to have my name on the trophy for the 2024 edition!
This week marked a special milestone for our family as we made our first endowed contribution to the Canadian Mental Health Association in memory of my late brother, Collin.
A special thank you to Chris Morphy for his incredible leadership in the community @CMHAEdmonton@theECF
I had the honour to introduce Nageso Nyafaro at the Edmonton Marathon press conference earlier today. Nageso recently moved to Canada from Africa and will be competing in the half marathon.
I'm excited to watch him and all of the runners taking part this weekend.
Its always a treat getting to attend folk fest and this year’s festivities did not disappoint. Watching Robert Plant & Alison Kruss was definitely the highlight!
