@raycastapp I have "Search Browser Bookmarks" enabled for Safari, and when I enter the Raycast hotkey ⌥-space and enter "saf" to open Safari, "Search Browser Bookmarks" is instead the first hit. Now there's friction to get to Safari. Is that expected? 🤷♀️
@sjmaple@RichardWarburto Missing from this survey, as most of your followers are Java developers, is people running Java software that are not Java developers. There are many people running software like Elasticsearch in production, protected by the Java Security Manager.

@3266miles@elastic Sorry you had a bad experience here. Our goal was to not break deployments using explicit allocation actions, your indices should have kept moving. Would you mind opening a topic on https://t.co/KR7bvDdxny with some more details so we can debug? You can ping me in the topic.
@joshbressers @thomtunes An FFT-powered sound-to-light Christmas display in a major city is hacked by a nation-state, and the hero, using only his trusted HP 12C, foils the attack, re-popularizing one of the greatest computing devices ever as a stocking stuffer, inspiring the next generation of nerds.
@thomtunes I’m glad you clarified the meaning of “FFT” or I would have been left wondering why you’re mentioning the Fast Fourier Transform in the same tweet as the greatest Christmas movie ever. 😇
This week @stripepress re-issued Scientific Freedom by Donald Braben, a stirring call to accelerate low-risk, potentially transformative research. It’s the fourth book we’ve published this year as part of our mission to share ideas for progress. Here are the others: (1/5)
@drbarryrubin@UHN These “rules” lack empathy and situational awareness. I conditionally agree with 4. We’re still learning we don’t have the cues from in-person meetings that others want air space, so we have to be deliberate to give breathing room for others. Until then, interrupt, thoughtfully.
Starting with 7.8.0, you can download or pull #Elasticsearch on ARM exactly as you would on an x86-64 system. Give it a try and let us know what you think. https://t.co/eZrBGc7Ydr
@xeraa @sothawo @elastic I’m sorry that this caused you trouble, I know it can be frustrating to deal with. As @xeraa mentioned though, our compatability focus is on the HTTP APIs and we don’t offer any guarantees on the code itself. There’s more background here: https://t.co/csfPc2jb1w
Looking for an experienced engineer in the area of build, CI and developer productivity to join me on the Elasticsearch team at @elastic. You'd be working with #gradle#java and #jenkins on a popular open source project at a great company. Reach out for more details.
@marcoarment That image is fake. Look at the amount displayed in Safari versus displayed on the Touch Bar. Also, the amount displayed on the Touch Bar matches the amount displayed in a sample image when setting up Apple Pay on a Mac (cf. https://t.co/czo5XiUbNv), so it’s a faked composite.
