@Jmattt74 @WifeyAlpha @MacroAlf The purpose though, is to reduce spending and break at fundraising demand to reduce liquidity in the market, especially in privates. This is exactly what’s happening, reduce cash flow and erode inflation.

@countdraghula @MacroAlf Yeah unfortunately it seems that recession will likely occur. The Fed can’t afford to be more hawkish at this point as there are too many risk factors driving inflation at this point. The labor market has also overtightened, which I’m sure also contributes to current woes.

@fillycheeze @iollmann @dunbar422 @MacroAlf Yeah but you can’t really characterize it as a demand destruction at this point. Food is way more inelastic and current inflation is still driven by supply factors - consumer sentiment is still above the 100s and plenty of buying.

The market is underestimating how big the @FIFAcom -@Algorand technical partnership is. Just look at some basic stats in extra content sales of Ultimate Team a game mode of their popular game @EASPORTSFIFA :

@wadea @petergyang Yeah - feel like this is the primary issue. Partly, I think it's because the market conditions are so unclear (esp. in regards to recessionary troubles/concerns) that the entry itself is questioned. But at the same time, that was the start of COVID too in Spring 2020...

@zhusu And 2) lots of people just read to memorize for the exams - the downside of our great education system where we focus more on grades instead of the actual learning 3) lots of competitiveness starts early and by the time they're in college, they want to relax or be more social

@zhusu I feel that with so much more information out there, we are more prone to seeing the bigger picture (where sometimes it might be detrimental to our reading/info-retention abilities) and 1) seeing that academics aren't that important and hence paying less attention...

I guess when you think about the 2Y and 10Y reversal from fundamental principles - drastic rate hikes is driving up the shorter duration side of the yield curve so quickly that the longer term has not enough time to react, where longer term outlook still feels unclear.

@SnarkMaster3000 @keighstone I think part of it's political ego, but also the desire to maintain a foothold in societal stability while holding different governing systems. Meanwhile though, much of the modern day operates in the same manner; though "communist", China is very much capitalist...
