@kstansberry Very happy to have stayed inside with my slippers on for class today. Lots of learning. Lots of laughs. Lot of *insert another word that starts with L here*. #ElonCOM460
@kstansberry The easiest thing you can start doing is asking questions. Most of what I've done at Elon is ask a big question and then try to answer it as well as I could at the time. My solutions weren't very satisfying freshman year, but I like to think they've improved over time #ElonCOM460
@kstansberry I'm not sure I would say that every company needs to define themselves as a media analytics company, but in the current marketplace, every business should have at least some staff familiar with the space #ElonCOM460#HireMe
@kstansberry I believe that education will increase, making analytics far more accessible to everyone in the media industry. Eventually, instead of having dedicated analytics teams in an office, most of the people in an office will be comfortable working with/discussing data #ElonCOM460
@kstansberry To go a little further, I think that eventually once the allure of what can be learned from data fades away, the ability for people like us to answer the question: "Well what can I actually do with all this info" becomes our form of job security #ElonCOM460
@kstansberry The ability to turn information into action is a challenge I worry about. It's fine knowing everything about a given audience, but taking that knowledge and turning it into a strategy to make the audience even larger is the, perhaps far more difficult, next step. #ElonCOM460
@kstansberry The uncertainty. The field of media analytics is brand new, and at this points it's anyone's guess what it'll look like in 5 or 10 years. The idea that I could play a role, however minuscule, in shaping that journey is incredibly exciting. #ElonCOM460
