It’s true that I don’t like Sydney, but in this case, I feel like a lot of people are reducing her to a woman with no values, as if she had no self-respect. And frankly, that is deeply misogynistic. What bothers me even more is that it’s often the same Ella fans making these kinds of comments. You might not like Sydney, but sexualizing her, belittling her, or questioning her worth as a woman has nothing to do with defending Ella. By constantly engaging in this kind of talk, you’re mostly just risking stirring up hate around Ella and giving her fandom a really bad image. And if that ends up backfiring on her, you shouldn't pretend not to understand why.

Because the pattern is becoming glaringly obvious: why do you always insist on painting the Black woman as the jealous, insecure, or self-doubting one?
