STT + LTCG on profits = double taxation.

In 2004 LTCG was removed for STT, in 2018 LTCG returned but STT stayed.

STT collections jumped from 34000 Cr (FY24) to 53000 Cr (FY25).

Retail investors are paying the price.

Abolish STT in Budget 2026.
