Let me put this in plain English, because I think you are missing just how devastating the Bible says this earth will be when Jesus comes back.

This earth is going to be uninhabitable. Completely wrecked. Jeremiah 4 said the earth will be “without form, and void.” The heavens have no light. The mountains are shaking. And then he says:

“I beheld, and, lo, there was no man.” No man.

Then he sees the cities broken down because of the fierce anger of the Lord. Are you listening?

The cities are decimated. The earth is desolate. Darkness and destruction are everywhere.

Isaiah says:

“The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.” Isaiah 24:19.

Then Revelation 19 tells us the wicked who are alive are slain, and Paul says Christ will destroy them “with the brightness of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

Revelation 19:17–18 even gives us the horrifying picture of the birds being called to feast on the flesh of those who were slain.

Now tell me something.

When people tell you Jesus comes back, meets His people, and then continues ruling over a populated earth full of survivors, where are you getting that from?

Show me that in Revelation 20.

Because Revelation 20 says Satan is bound for 1,000 years so that he “should deceive the nations no more.” Because there is nobody left for him to deceive.

The righteous dead are raised. They come out of their graves, they're changed, made immortal, and caught up to meet Jesus in the air. The righteous who are alive when Jesus comes are changed too, and they're caught up with them.

Jesus doesn't leave His people standing down here. He keeps His promises. He takes us with Him.

Meanwhile, the wicked are destroyed by the brightness of His coming.

Satan is left here on this devastated, wrecked planet with nobody to tempt.

That's what I mean when I say Satan is on timeout.

No literal chains are placed around a spirit being. He's bound by circumstances. He's stuck here for a thousand years with nobody left to deceive.

So explain to me like I am five, where the people are. Seriously. Where are these people? Where are they living? Where are they building houses? Where are they running governments during all this destruction, desolation, and death?

Revelation 16 happening describes an earthquake unlike anything humanity has ever experienced. Islands disappear. Mountains are no longer found.

The world is shaken to its foundations. Show me where Scripture puts the people.

The Bible says;

Christ returns. The righteous dead are raised and changed. The righteous living are changed. Both are caught up to meet Christ. The wicked are destroyed. The earth is devastated and left desolate. Satan is left here with nobody to tempt. A thousand years pass. Then the wicked are resurrected. Satan deceives them again. THEN comes the final rebellion.

People need to stop treating the Second Coming like some cute little Bible story. Jesus is coming back, and when He does, this world is not going to look anything like it does now.
