Retired Israeli Major General Giora Eiland, former head of Israel’s National Security Council, said Israel has no interest in rebuilding Gaza, calling for the Strip to remain destroyed for decades and generations to come. He argued that the continued destruction and despair in Gaza serve Israel’s interests.

Eiland called for maintaining what is known as the Yellow Line and refusing to relinquish it, describing it as a security buffer zone. He said Israel could ultimately maintain military occupation over 70% of the Gaza Strip. He also rejected the idea of withdrawing from areas beyond the line, insisting that Israel should retain them even if it does not plan to establish settlements there.

▪️إن هذه المواقف تمثل خروجاً واضحاً عن الموقف الدولي الراسخ الذي يؤكد أن الجولان أرض سورية محتلة، ولا يمكن لأي اعتراف أو قرار أن يغيّر حقيقة انتمائه العربي والسيادة السورية عليه.

▪️إن هذا الموقف يمثل مكافأة جديدة للكيان الصهيوني على جرائمه المتواصلة، وفي مقدمتها جرائم الإبادة الجماعية والتطهير العرقي والتهجير بحق شعبنا الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة، والعدوان والجرائم المرتكبة بحق المدنيين في جنوب لبنان، بدلًا من محاسبته وملاحقة قادته أمام المحاكم الدولية.

▪️نؤكد أن الجولان أرض سورية عربية إسلامية محتلة، وأن الاحتلال إلى زوال مهما طال الزمن، وأن محاولات فرض الأمر الواقع وشرعنة الاحتلال لن تمنح المحتل الصهيوني أي حق في الأرض، ولن تسقط حقوق الشعب السوري في أرضه.

▪️ندعو الدول والحكومات والقوى الحرة في العالم إلى رفض هذه المواقف المنحازة للكيان الصهيوني المجرم، والتمسك بالقرارات الدولية التي تؤكد عدم شرعية الإحتلال والإستيطان وضم الأراضي بالقوة، والعمل على إنهاء الاحتلال ومحاسبة مرتكبي جرائم الحرب والجرائم ضد الإنسانية.

पश्चिम बंगाल की एक 40 वर्षीय मुस्लिम महिला, साहिदा फकीर, को महाराष्ट्र की नवी मुंबई पुलिस ने ‘बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठिया’ होने के संदेह में हिरासत में लिया और कथित तौर पर असम सीमा के जरिए अवैध रूप से बांग्लादेश की सीमा में धकेल दिया.

साहिदा के परिवार द्वारा जन्म प्रमाण पत्र, वोटर ID, पैन कार्ड, स्कूल प्रमाण पत्र और जमीन के वैध दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत करने के बावजूद यह कार्रवाई की गई.

इस समय उनके पति जुम्मन फकीर और दो बेटे, जिनमें एक सातवीं का छात्र और दूसरा मोबाइल रिपेयरिंग टेक्नीशियन है, भारत में ही रह रहे हैं, जबकि साहिदा बांग्लादेश के सातक्षीरा में एक अनजान परिवार के पास रहने को मजबूर हैं.

18 जुलाई को नवी मुंबई के सानपाड़ा बाजार से साहिदा को उस वक्त उठाया गया जब वह रात के खाने का सामान खरीदने निकली थीं.

परिवार का आरोप है कि 90 घंटे से अधिक समय बीत जाने के बाद भी उन्हें किसी मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने पेश नहीं किया गया और न ही कानूनी सहायता लेने दी गई.

साहिदा के अनुसार, उन्हें असम सीमा पर ले जाया गया और रात 1 बजे बांग्लादेश की ओर धकेल दिया गया. दलदली खेतों में 8 घंटे पैदल चलने के बाद वह मुख्य सड़क पर पहुंचीं, जहां स्थानीय लोगों ने उन्हें आश्रय और भोजन दिया.

साहिदा का जन्म 12 अक्टूबर 1995 को पश्चिम बंगाल के उत्तर 24 परगना जिले के स्वरूपनगर ब्लॉक में पंजीकृत है. उनके पास 2002 की मतदाता सूची में शामिल माता-पिता के रिकॉर्ड, अपना पैन कार्ड, वोटर कार्ड और स्वरूपनगर में दर्ज भू-स्वामित्व के दस्तावेज मौजूद हैं.

मानवाधिकार संगठन 'मासुम' (MASUM) ने इस मनमानी और अवैध हिरासत के खिलाफ कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय में याचिका दायर की है. वहीं, 'पश्चिम बंगाल प्रवासी श्रमिक एकता मंच' ने विदेश मंत्रालय को पत्र लिखकर साहिदा के दस्तावेजों के सत्यापन और उनकी भारत वापसी की मांग की है.

Italian philosophy professor emeritus at the University of Naples Federico II, Eugenio Mazzarella, has launched an initiative to nominate children in Gaza for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, aiming to highlight the suffering of Palestinian children, make them a global symbol of victims of war, and call for the protection of children in armed conflicts.

The initiative was introduced in an article published by the Italian Catholic newspaper Avvenire. Mazzarella said awarding the prize to Gaza’s children would send a message affirming every child’s right to life, dignity and peace, while preserving the memory of children who lost their lives and carrying forward hope for a peaceful future for survivors.

The initiative has received more than 450 endorsements from Italian political, academic, cultural, religious and trade union figures.

When Will Sanjiv Bhatt Get Justice?

This is one of the saddest chapters of our history. An honest, brave and dedicated IPS officer, Sanjiv Bhatt, has been in jail for more than nine years.

He became a symbol of courage because he stood by his principles and spoke against injustice. Many IPS officers have come and gone, but Sanjiv Bhatt is still remembered for his courage and his fight for truth.

Whether one agrees with him or not, every person deserves a fair and just legal process. His case should not be forgotten.

It is time for justice-loving people and the Gen Z generation to raise this issue, ask questions and demand justice through peaceful and democratic means.
