It is not cheating. It was never cheating. Whatever helps finish the illustration as you wanted is valid, as long as you are not blatantly stealing from another artist.
@Daniel_Rubino I like what this means for laptops that require any type of ventilation. its a big jump, but you can also go to any place where laptops are sold and get a laptop that doesn't have fans and doesn't need for any type of ventilation at all.
With DLSS 5 all the weight lies on the animators shoulders now. When the mocap or animation is great, DLSS5 makes it even greater. When it is not, it makes it look even worse.
Some dude will look you straight in your dude eyes and say “the DLSS one looks worse.” 😭
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy with DLSS 5 is a straight-up cinematic experience.
When i was 15, in the year 2000, i told people i wanted to work in animation and everyone assumed animation as just one drawing at the beginning, one drawing at the end, and then a computer did everything. 26 YEARS AGO. People never know how things are done. Ever.
the discourse around this "not being AI" is pretty interesting because I think most people assume and STILL assume that it is AI. BECAUSE most people don't understand the difference between trad CG, stop motion, etc. it's all just "video" at the end of the day
in the age of generative AI, making an ad that so obviously just looks like AI and requires this extra context is an interesting choice
I think if you really want your ad to NOT BE AI, it has to be very live action feeling. but even that is eventually not going to be enough to convince people it's not AI
not to mention making generating this little "Behind the Scenes" clip with AI would also be trivial
Hey guys! I have updated my brush pack (again)
Now with my new graphic brushes. If you already got them you just have to redownload the files, either from Gumroad or Patreon. I think now it’s a more complete pack. There is also a new demo video.👇

In 1843, Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote to a friend after seeing her first daguerreotype: “The very shadow of the person lying there fixed for ever! … I would rather have such a memorial of one I dearly loved, than the noblest artist’s work ever produced.”
Our lives and homes are filled with things that once inspired similar awe. I tried to collect those feelings, in quotes like the one above, from people for whom what is now ordinary was brand new. A friar who met the inventor of eyeglasses, a founding father on the new smallpox vaccine, a woman in Iowa on her family’s first indoor bathroom. To look at a modern apartment through their eyes: https://t.co/3Nsti34aS2
1. Find a great painting that you love.
2. Try to paint a copy of it.
The second step has a lot of options. You can do 10 minute grayscale composition studies. You can do hour-ish simple color studies. You can do really slow, finished studies where you try to imitate the piece exactly.
The idea is to learn from someone who has already solved all of the problems in a piece.
