Presenting, an #Agentsguide for my YA/crossover folk horror, SALTING DAY.
Hungry for some creepy historical horror a la SLEWFOOT and THE VVITCH, with an angry girl who's not afraid to embrace the darkness within? 😈
Dipping my toe back into querying, and I'm already equal parts excited and terrified.
My horror-romance Moss Baby's got herself a Title ™️, and a date with destiny...
(I hope, anyway 🤞🤞)
How does one break into fiction editing?
I'd love to be able to lend my eye and experience to fellow writers, but I'm hesitant to hang out my editor's shingle.
Any advice or words of encouragement are welcomed 💫

I do a little lurk on X, see lots of other writers querying and some successes (🥳🎉🥳), then cry in Too Busy To Edit My Manuscript.
Soon. I will be able to edit again SOON 🤞🤞

I'm not sure, but I think my motivation is at the bottom of this coffee cup.
Operation: Pack Up Your Life and Move is almost over... (and I can see my characters again!!)
🫠🫠😵💫
Hey, #writingcommunity
Drop line 8 from page 187 of your MS:
"The pain continues, intensifies, throbbing between her ears, up through her nose, deep into her sinuses. The world is a stretching, seething mass..."
👀 👀 👀
Open tag if you want to play! ☺️
Halfway between one house and another is a heck of a liminal space.
Moving is nuts. But we're fortunate enough that we can take our time instead of one big, fast, sweaty moving day.
Half old, half new
Trying to lean into the growth, even if it's a little painful 💫
Me: *writes star-crossed lovers into a folk horror plot*
Me: Wait... *squints at WIP* Is romantic folk horror a thing?
Characters: *stare wide-eyed and nod aggressively*
Me: it is now, I guess 🙃
My writing dream:
I don't need fame
I don't need to be a bestseller
(would be cool, though)
I don't need to earn lots of money (also, very cool)
I just want people to read my books and think, "I love these fictional people." (Or maybe love to hate them 😉)
That's all I want ☺️
I have two playlists for my WIPs:
One with words, and one without
The instrumental, for writing, is moody classical or low-fi (because if somebody else's words are in my head, I have none of my own 🙃)
The playlist with words is for ✨️vibes✨️ and moodboard making, naturally
